Stampendous Saturday Color Challenge!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!

The Stampendous Team is back again to showcase some more fabulous creations using the wonderful Stampendous images and three of these four colors, pink, brown, cream and gold.

In my creation this week I used all four.

Stampendous-Saturday122411

I had a great time coloring my Stampendous Cling Tweet Top Hat (CRV226).  I also stamped Cling Season’s Post (CRM259) on patterned paper.

I adhered my stamped patterned paper to my card base and added a Liquid Pearls to the top and the bottom.  I tied the beautiful May Arts ribbon around the card base and adhered the focal image to the front of the card with dimensionals and added more Liquid Pearls around the edge.

Supplies:

Stamps: Cling Tweet Top Hat, Cling Season’s Post (Stampendous)

Paper: Heaven Sent (Pebbles); Confetti Cream (Bazzill)

Ribbon: May Arts

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Vintage Sepia (Tsukineko); E25, E23, E21, E99, E97, E95, E53, E51, E50, RV00, RV000, RV02, YG97, YG96, YG93 (Copic Sketch Markers); Gold, Pink Spica Glitter Pens (Imagination International)

Skipping Stones Designs Feature Friday!!

Good morning!!  Are you all ready for Christmas??

Today I made a card featuring one of our sets of the month, Pumkin Seed Sentiments.

I was completely inspired yesterday to make this card, when I received a gift in the mail for a “Secret Santa”.  It was full of beautiful ribbon and some Vintage Buttons, from her Grandmother and Mother.  I was so touched.

SSD-Feature-Friday122311

I love this ribbon the color progression is fabulous and prompted me to get out my Big & Juicy Rainbow ink pads from Ranger!!

Thank you Secret Santa!!

For the rest of December, Pumkin Seed Sentiments and Timeless Textures is on sale for $12.49.  This is a great way to get rid of some of your extra Christmas money!!!  hahaha!!

Don’t forget that Skipping Stones Designs has a free set up for grabs this week.  All you have to do is play along with our Sketch Challenge #107.

Merry Christmas from Dreamweaver Stencils

Merry Christmas!!

Just a few more days until Christmas!!

I have a super quick and easy card to share with you this morning.

Our Dream Team Color Challenge this week is Burgundy and Gold!

Dreamweaver122211

I have been super busy with the holiday season and I needed to make this one last card in a lurch, so I spritzed Bright Gold Memory Mist onto Burgundy cardstock and placed the Merry Christmas stencil (LL386) over the top of the mist.  I pasted with Metallic Gold Embossing Paste and set aside to dry.  When the gold paste was wet, it was a nice goldy, opaque color, when it was dry, it had dried a beautiful gold color, but not quite the color I needed for this project.  When dry, the Gold Memory Mist and the Gold Metallic paste were almost the same color and hard to see.  To solve the problem, I colored over the Metallic Paste with Copic Sketch marker R59.  I love the result.  The color of the sentiment is beautiful in person.

I hope you have a very Merry Holiday Season!!

Season’s Greetings from Dreamweaver Stencils!!

Good morning!!

Welcome to Dreamweaver Stencils Sketch Challenge!

This week, Design Team Head Honcho,  Pam Hornshcu challenged us to follow a sketch AND make a Vintage Christmas Card.

I don’t know how Vintage mine got but I did follow the sketch…

Here is  my card…

Dreamweaver121511

If you remember my post from last week’s Dreamweaver Stencil Free Theme,  you probably remember the “smoosh” technique that used with Dreamweaver Stencils Color Solutions Alcohol Ink.  The card I made for today is the second piece to my smooshing.  The left side of the card with the three panels, I die cut windows out from the card stock.  I daubed Versamark on one side of the Branch and Berries Stencil (LJ900) and placed it onto  Thermal Acetate from Stampendous, and embossed through the Vagabond Machine.  Once the acetate had been run though, the area’s that I wanted to emboss with powder were now ready to sprinkle Winter Wonderland over and heat set.  As you can see from the picture, only the branches are embossed.

The background of the “window” is a left over piece of last week’s smoosh creation.  The background effect is simple.  Drip a few drops of different colored Color Solutions Alcohol Ink onto a craft mat, add a drop of a metallic ink and place glossy cardstock, glossy side down onto the inks and push the paper around in the inks.  If give a fabulous swirly effect.

The lacey scalloped circle die was cut out with blue metallic paper and I paste embossed with Silver Embossing Paste Season’s Greetings LL453.

Supplies:

Paper: Glossy (Ranger), White (Coredinations); Metallic Blue (craft stash)

Stencils: Season’s Greetings LL453, Branch and Berries LL900 (Dreamweaver Stencils)

Ink: Iceburg, Blue Velvet, Sizzling Silver Color Solutions Alcohol Ink (Dreamweaver Stencils)

Extras: border punch (Martha Stewart); Canadian Blue Glitter Ritz (Elizabeth Crafts); die (Spellbinders), thermal acetate, Winter Wonderland Embossing Powder (Stampendous); Silver Embossing Paste (Dreamweaver Stencils)

Thank you for stopping by today.  Please stop by the other team member’s blogs.  You can find the blog roll to the right of this post.

My card today was super fun to make. I teamed up Timeless Textures, a bit of Pumkin Seeds Sentiments and Canvas Corp.

This month Skipping Stones Designs is featuring their texture sets. The following sets are on sale all month for $12.49…

Timeless Textures

Pumkin Seed Sentiments

Here is my take…

SSD106

I used Black Stripes on Ivory cardstock from Canvas Corp and SSD Timeless Textures Texture stamps. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment is from SSD Pumkin Seeds. It is hard to see in this picture, but all of the mat cardstock and ink are a deep chocolate brown, almost black. The die cut frame is the Fleur Di Lis from Spellbinders.

Be sure to hop along and leave comments on all the fabulous designers’ blogs. This month we are welcoming Tosha Leyendekker, Kendra Sand and Windy Robinson to our team as Guest Designers! Jen Del Muro will be providing all the fabulous sketch inspiration this month including the sketch we're using in today's hop!

Today I chose to share a creation from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear Stamp Set Damask Chair and Elegant Borders.

Friday Copic Post

Hi there!!

Today I wanted to share a few more cards that I colored!  The first two cards are made with Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zett for I Brake For Stamps.

Love at first site when I saw this collection.  I have MANY more of her her stamps on my Christmas list!!!

Copic-Syliva-Zett

This card was made with the stamp Let It Snow.  I colored her up and layered her on a card base with the SEI Collection Silver Valley Patterned Paper.  A bit of lace on the sides…I like it!!!  The sentiment is from my favorite Verve Holiday Set Glad Tidings.

Supplies:

Paper: Mohawk White (Kelly Paper Co.); Silver Valley Collection (SEI); Bazzill

Stamps: Let It Snow (Wee Stamps for I Brake for Stamps); Glad Tidings (Verve)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black(Tsukineko); N1, N3, N4, C0, C1, C5, R000, R01, BG0000, Y00, BOO0, BOO, E000, E00, E11, E25, E31, E50 (Copic Sketch)

Lace: craft supply stash, Liquid Pearls (Ranger)

Dies: Classic Circle, Lacey Circle (Spellbinders)

Copic-Sylvia-Zett1

Another cute Wee Stamps image called Winter Fairy.

This is simply colored and placed on a card base with some neat corner flourishes by Heartfelt Creations.

Supplies:

Paper: Mohawk White (Kelly Paper Co.); purple, pink (Bazzill)

Stamps: Winter Fairy (Wee Stamps for I Brake For Stamps)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); E50, E31, 325, YG63, YG67, R59, C1, B12, B14, YR68, BV000, BV01, BV02, N1, N3, N4, RV02, E000, E00, E11 (Copic Sketch Marker)

Extras: ribbon (craft supply); Classic Oval Die (Spellbinders); Corner Flourish (Heartfelt Creations); liquid pearls (Ranger)

Stampendous-COPIC-Peony

This last creation is a card sample for a class that I am instructing in January.  It is a Fundamentals of Copic Class.  Each student will get three markers in the class and they will make two cards.  This is an image using mostly three markers and in areas, four.  This is a retired Cling Jumbo Peony stamp from Stampendous.  It is a shame that this image is retired, but you may be able to still find it at a local store or Michaels.  Stampendous has a huge line of Jumbo Cling stamps that can be colored with Copics, embossing powder, acrylic paint.  Pretty much whatever your heart desires.

If you’re interested in taking the above class, please send me an email or comment in this post with your contact information.

Supplies:

Paper: Mohawk White (Kelly Paper Co.)

Stamp: Cling Jumbo Peony (Stampendous)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); RV00, RV21,RV23, RV25 (Copic Sketch)

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek today!!

Have a great weekend!!

See you tomorrow for this month’s Color Challenge post with the Stampendous team!!!

Dreamweaver Stencil's Dream Team Thursday!!!

Good morning!!
Welcome to Dream Scheme Thursday!!!
Our challenge this week is Designer Choice or Free Theme!!

I had a bit of fun with Dreamweaver Stencils new Color Solutions Artist Grade Alcohol Ink!
I used a "smoosh" technique, at least I think that is what it is called!

I put a few drops of Iceberg, Blue Velvet and Sizzling Silver on my teflon craft sheet. I then layed my Glossy card stock , glossy side down in the inks and swirled the paper over the top of the inks. When I lifted off the paper the bluish, silvery swirl was present on the paper.
Once the inks were dry ( I sat them aside for 5 minutes or so), I pasted the Sleigh and Reindeer (LL556) stencil with Glossy Black Embossing Paste. While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled a bit of Moonstone Metallic FX Powder and silver glitter over the top of the wet paste and set it aside to dry.
Once the paste was dry, I removed all the excess glitter and Metallic FX with a Swiffer duster (my secret weapon). I sprinkled a few bits of Chunky White Embossing Enamel and heat embossed quickly from underneath the paper. I stamped Christmas Greetings with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.

I had fun with it at least!

Since this is free theme week, I'd love for your to make any Dreamweaver creation and link it up to Dream It Up!! The entire Dream Team will stop by your blog and give you lots of love!!!

Check out what the other team members have been up to this week...

Here is my card…

Stampendous12311(2)

Have I told you all how much I LOVE Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel???  Here’s a close up…

Stampendous12311(1)

This is such a fun color combination to play with.  First I stamped the Jumbo Cling Song Bird, just the leafy part of the stamp with Versamark and stamped right on the card base.  I sprinkled Ivory Embossing Powder and heat set.  The frame is a die cut.  I needed a gold piece to my puzzle, so once it was cut out, I covered the surface with Versamark and sprinkled Detail Gold Embossing Powder over the top and heat set it.  Last but not least I got to use my Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel.  I stamped just the bird with Versamark, sprinkled the Shabby Pink Enamel over the top with some Gold Halo Glitter and started melting from underneath the paper.  It was “Fran*taging” a bit, but not the whole 9 yards.

Oh my heart goes pitter patter….LOVE!!

I adhered all the layers to my card base and added a sweet tag sentiment from the Rose Branch Border Perfectly Clear Set, and  some fab ribbon from May Arts.

Check out what the rest of the team has been up to this week!!  Rush off to your studio, create some beautiful creations with brown, cream, gold and pink and link it up at Stampendous Impressions !
