Good morning!! Welcome to Dreamweaver Stencils Dream Scheme Thursday!!
Today we have a sketch for your from our DT leader Deborah March!!!

I used my slightly neglected yellow matte embossing paste and the re-released large (LJ808) and small (LJ909)Cathedral Windows!!!

Following Deborah's sketch, I pasted twice. The stencil is 4x6 and didn't completely cover the front of the card base. I let the first paste dry and then placed the stencil slightly to the right, but still covering some of the already pasted area, to get and even image (clear as mud right?). Next I placed the small Cathedral Windows on the inside of the card and spritzed Bright Gold Memory Mist over it (LOVE THIS SHIMMER!) I pasted Happy Anniversary with Glossy Black embossing paste on acetate and sprinkled Navajo Sky Metallic FX over the top. Once dry, I adhered it to the front of the card.

Finished her off with a fabulous Organdy Dotted ribbon by Creative Impressions!!!!

Here is this weeks sketch...

Good morning!!!

Welcome to Dream Scheme Thursday!!  Today I am sharing a card made with one of Dreamweaver Stencils *NEW* designs!!

This card was simply paste embossed with the Apron stencil (LG736) and  Pearlescent Embossing Paste and sprinkled with multiple shades of Metallic FX.  I finished off the edge with Liquid Pearls.

I know I promised a Zentangle design this week, but time got away from me.  I did finish the Zentangle, but I haven’t been able to work it into a card just yet.

I hope you will take the time to visit the other Dream Team members.  You can find the links to all their blogs on the right side of this post.

Dreamweaver Stencil Color Challenge…

Good morning!!  What a “challenge” we had this week!!  Orange & Blue…yikes, the only thing that would come to mind is the Denver Bronco’s.  If I would have had a helmet stencil, I would have used my horse stencil and made it happen.

For my Orange and Blue card, I started with some inspiration from Brenda Weaver.  She had made a fabulous simple sketch that I wanted to try and I chose Heliconia Butterfly(LM257) and Butterfly(LM121).

I started off by paste embossing both butterfly stencils with Matte Black Embossing Paste.  Once dry, I placed the stencils back in place over the embossed image.  With a stencil brush, using a stippling technique, I placed Palette Glue pad over the embossed images.  I then stippled Navajo Sky Metallic FX over the glue.

Once I was done with my Metallic FX, I sprayed Copper Shimmer Memory Mist over the images and the paper.  This was not that good if a plan.  With a paper towel, I daubed off the excess shimmer spray from the butterfly’s and some of the pretty FX came off.  I then placed my stencils back in place and started over again with my Palette Glue Pad and my Metallic FX.  This is a pretty card in person with a fabulous shimmer.  I finished all off by stamping the cute little butterflies from Garden Beauty and the sentiment from Daisy Stem Trio sets both from Stampendous.

My next card is one I made to send as a greeting.  I am so in love with this new Royalty Couture Creations Embossing Folder, I had to pair it up with Happy Mother’s Day(LM227).

Easy enough….I embossed the cardstock and stenciled Happy Mother’s Day on acetate with Glossy Black Embossing Paste.

Thank you so much for stopping by today and taking a look.

Please take the time to play along and post your creation on Dream It Up.

Be sure to check out what the other members of the Design Team have created today.  All of their fabulous blogs are listed to the right of this post.

Have a great day!!

Making a “scene” usually isn’t my bag with it comes to making cards, but today when I went looking for a Stampendous set, I realized that I hadn’t had a chance to use Instant Summer Tree Fun by Stampendous yet, and I am always looking to use my Copics.

This set really hits home with what I want my weather to be like!!  I am looking forward to days like this REAL soon!!!

I am hoping one of my friends or maybe a family member will be happy to receive this in the mail.

Here is a list of supplies that I used:

Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink

Stamps: Summer Tree Fun SSC1089-R(Stampendous)

Ink: Copic Markers (E00,E31,E33,E35,E37,T2,T5,T7,B26,G02)Tsukeneko Memento (Rose Buds, Dandelion, New Sprout, Summer Sky, Pear Tart, Cottage Ivy)

What a change from the norm with this one.  It felt good to just color!!
