A Few Cutie Cards….

For a change, I decided to post a few cards that I made, just for the fun it.

These cards aren’t Design Team requirements or anything.  I recently became a Sales  Representative and an a Certified Instructor for Copic Markers.

I have started several clubs in my sales area, where I teach a Copic technique class each month.

Here are a few cards we will be creating in class for Hair & Skin tones.

Copic-TMT

I used Stampavie’s “Sarah In the Snow with Kittie” by Tina Wenke for this card. Besides the coloring, I die cut out the forest green frame and inked it with white pigment ink and sprinkled Crystal Embossing powder on it for a “snowy” edge.

Supplies:

Paper: Green, white (Bazzill Basics)

Patterned Paper: Holiday Style Collection (Bazzill Basics)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, White Brilliance Ink (Tsukineko)

Markers: NO, N1, CO, C1, C3, R0000, R22, R24, R27, R00, YR00, YR02, E31, E50, E25, 100, BG000 (Copic Sketch Marker)

Dies: Scalloped Oval, Oval (Lifestyle Crafts)

Stamps:: Sarah in the Snow with Kittie (Stampavie)

Extras: Crystal Embossing Powder (Stampendous), brads (Creative Impressions); holly ribbon (May Arts); flowers (Prima)

I should also add that I never really got into coloring the darling little people images that are all over today, until I stared coloring with Copics.  Sooo fun!!  I am reaally enjoying myself!

Here is a card that I stamped with Susanna’s Custom Art and Card Design’s “Peeker’s” Collection.  If you haven’t heard or seen these darling images, I highly recommend!!

Copic-TMT2

Unfortunately I mailed off this card and in the back had all the markers I had used on the image.  Double Dang!!!

Here is a supply list, none the less…

Paper: Marina Mist, Whisper White (Stampin’  Up)

Stamps: Hey Birdy Peeker (SCACD); Cling Jumbo Pine Drift (Stampendous)

Border: Scalloped Border (Sizzix)

Ribbon: Denim Swirl Organdy (Creative Impressions), twine (The Twinery)

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark (Tsukineko)

Extras: Crystal Embossing Powder (Stampendous); button (craft supply)

Thanks for stopping by today!!

I had a great time making these cards and I loved sharing them with you!!!

Dreamweaver Stencils Dream Team Sketch Challenge!!

Good morning!!

Welcome to Dream Scheme Thursday!!!

Our Dreamweaver Stencil challenge for you this week is a sketch challenge!!

Here is my take on Kim’s sketch…

Dreamweaver102711

Here is the sketch …

I started my project by choosing three pieces of card stock, red, green and kraft.  I paste embossed a 6x6 sheet of each with our Damask Background Stencil with Transparent Embossing Paste.

While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled transparent glitter over the top.  The glitter will stick to the embossing powder as it dries.

I chose to emboss 6 x 6 sheet of paper, because this stencils dimensions are 5.5 x 5.5.  I have quite a bit extra for a few more Christmas cards.

While my backgrounds were drying, I “slathered” the back of Candles (LM 119) with Hawaiian Coconut Soap to prevent the stencil from sticking to the double sided adhesive paper that I attached it too.  Once I had my stencil in place, I started placing the desired colors of glitter where I wanted it on the focal image.

Once I had all of my desired colors in place, I cleaned up the area of excess glitter with a Glitter Magnet.  I didn’t want to have any excess “glitters” lying around, they would adhere to the exposed area of the adhesive paper once I removed it from the stencil.

I covered the entire piece of Double Sided Adhesive Paper with Transparent Glitter.  Once I had desired coverage, I used the glitter magnet again over the image to clear the colored glitters.

I matted my "Double Glittered Candle” on a few background pieces of cardstock, cut my background papers to the desired size and adhered them to the card base.  I stamped Season’s Greetings onto a tag and adhered it to the base of the card with ribbon.

Last, I adhered my focal image with dimensional stickers.

It seems that I wrote a bunch of steps, but both of these techniques are very easy.

We hope you play along with our Dream Team this week and link your creations to Dream It Up.  We can’t wait to see what you create!!

Last week, I had promised a tutorial or video this week.  I haven’t forgotten!!  It’s only Thursday!!!

Take the time to hop over to the other team member’s blogs.  There have some fantastic eye candy for you!!

Have a great day!!

Don’t you love this Stampendous Cling Eiffel Noel?

The focal image was stamped in Versamark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Detail Gold Embossing Powder. A moment after the embossing powder cooled, I colored the holly leaves and poinsettia petals with Spica Glitter pens by Copic.

I die cut the frame from a Spellbinders die and placed small dots of Red Liquid Pearls around the edges.

Easy and so pretty!!!

I hope that you will find the time to play along with us. Just a one more week before we pick a winner!!

Today two of my favorite stamp companies, Skipping Stones Designs and Stampendous are sponsoring our fun little hop with free stamps and free stamp sets. You can see the list of sponsors and the prizes you can win at the bottom of this post!!

I started of my “Halloweenie” celebration by using this week’s Sketch Challenge at Skipping Stones Designs. Our sketch was drawn by the wildly talented Cristina Kowalczyk.

Here is my card…

To throw your name in the hat to win Halloweenie or a whole slew of other fun prizes, please leave a comment here and all along at the hoppers blogs.

You don’t see a lot of Halloween projects on my blog, but this little Stampendous Cling Pumpkin Pair, got the best of me, and I had to use him multiple times. I even formualted a Copic Class with it.

This is a 3x3 stretched canvas background with patterned paper. The focal image is a stampbord like material.

I easily stamped the Pumpkin Pair with Stazon onto the Stampbord. I then started painting the image with Tim Holtz Distress Stains. I LOVE the end result!!!

I added a Maya Road zipper around the edge for interest and colored the teeth of the zipper with YR04 Copic Sketch Marker.

Stampendous-Pumpkin-Pair

This card was a blast to make!!

The whole top of the card is sooo shiny!! I wish you could see it in person!!

Stampendous-Haunty-Hop

I stamped the sentiment from Stampendous Stretchy Spooks (SSC1056) set and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. Stampendous’ Boss Gloss has a fabulous dauber tip. I was able to apply embossing ink by simply turning the bottle upside down and rubbing it all over the paper. Once I achieved the coverage I was looking for, I sprinkled Marcasite Embossing Powder (EP214) over the entire front of the card.

I stamped my focal image on a piece of die cut paper. I “colored” in my image using a Pointalism technique. To finish off the card, around the edge of the focal image I place different sizes of Black Holograph Dot Sparklers by Stampendous.

Now hop over to Berenice Reardon's blog for some "knock your socks off " eye candy!!

To eligible to win prizes, you must leave comments on each hoppers blog post!!!

Enjoy the hop!!!

Dream Team Thursday with a *NEW* Dreamweaver Stencil product!!!

Good morning!!

Today I am so excited!!! I spent all day yesterday playing around with a *FUN* new product that Dreamweaver Stencils just came out with. Color Solutions Artist Grade Alcohol Inks.

IMG_8319

These aren’t just your regular run of the mill alcohol inks. They are a deep, vibrant colors, that can be lightened and thinned by adding a Alcohol Ink Thinning and Cleaning Solution also by Dreamweavers. These alcohol inks have more “open” time, meaning that the ink will dry slower and give you more time to add layers or thin out your color if you decide. There’re Gold and Silver Metallic colors that are rich and SHINY!!!

IMG_8321

I will be posting a tutorial next week here and you never know…maybe a video!!

Today I used Color Solutions Iceburg and Sizzling Silver on top of Glossy White Embossing Paste…

Dreamweaver102011

I started by paste embossing Snowflakes( LJ819), Gothic Snowflake (LL396) and Antler Snowflake (LL399) stencils with Glossy White Embossing Paste.

Once the paste was dry, which was about 30 minutes, I replaced my clean, dry stencil on top of the dried paste. I applied Iceburg and Sizzling Silver Color Solution with an applicator and a piece of felt. I daubed Color Solution over the Glossy White Paste, through the metal stencil. I repeated the last step with my large snowflakes.

Once I reached my desired color, I removed the stencil and set aside the front card panel for a few minutes to make sure it was dried completely.

I adhered my larger snowflakes to the front of the card panel and attached a ribbon.

Do you use alcohol inks? If so, you would love to work with these fabulous deep, vibrant colors!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today and checking out my creation!!!

You can play along with our Free Theme challenge at the Dream It Up blog. Please link your creation there for your change to win a Dreamweaver prize!!!

Please check out the other Dream Team members blog today. You will see the blog roll on the right of this post!!

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a good one!

Stampendous Saturday Continues on with our Clean And Simple (CAS) Holiday Card Challenge

Good morning!!!

It's the first Saturday of the month, and that means it's time again for a new challenge with the Stampendous team!

We are looking towards the holidays AND trying to keep it Clean and Simple.  That's right - we are making Clean and Simple (CAS) holiday cards!!  You'll see a few team members showing off more than one card today; some chose to make one CAS and then take that design and showcase how to "step it up".  Others chose to make sets of CAS holiday cards that could be given as gifts or used to make a dent in the Christmas card list.

I chose to stamp up a FUN new Christmas Set, Cling Jumbo Holly Holidays

StampendousCASBootCamp2

In addition to the fabulous sentiment with this set, it also had a great border stamp…

I love the Cling Jumbo Stamps that have the larger sentiments.  They are easy to stamp and as you can see, take up most of the front of your card with the beautiful script.  For this week’s card, I stamped the sentiment with embossing ink  on a piece of patterned paper and heat embossed with Alexandrite PEARLustre Embossing powder.  I matted the sentiment panel and placed some brads.

Our challenge to you this month is to join us in making CAS holiday cards.  We want to help you get into the holiday spirit, so this month we are giving away a Cling Jumbo Sparkle Joy set to a random winner. You don't have to use a Stampendous image or products to play along, but we sure love it when you do!  You have until Thursday, November 3 at 11:59 PM EST to add your link to the linky tool, and we'll draw a random winner.  You can enter as many times as you'd like.

I followed along with this week’s sketch challenge and used Christmas Swirls

SSD-FeaturedFriday

I stamped the focal image with embossing ink and heat embossed with Detail Gold Embossing powder.

Good morning!!

Today the Dreamweaver Stencils Dream Team is creating with my FAVORITE color combination!!!  Pink & Black!!  Love it…anyway you try it!!

Here is my card….

Dreamweaver101311

I had a great time with my Fleur Di Lis (LS66) and Thank You (LG691) stencils.

I started by paste embossing the Dreamweaver Stencils Fleur Di Lis Stencil with Glossy Black Embossing Paste on the left panel of the card.  I then paste embossed the Fleur Di Lis stencil with Dreamweaver Stencils Glossy White Embossing Paste and sprinkled Dreamweaver Stencils Pixie Blush Metallic F/X on the paste while it was still wet.  I set all my embossed images to dry.

When the white paste was dry, I then paste embossed “thank you” with Glossy White embossing paste.

Once I assembled the layers, I trimmed the edges with Black Diamond and Pink Stickles.  The Fleur Di Lis stencil was edged with Silver Liquid Pearls.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Pink Pirouette (Stampin’ Up); Black (CTMH)

Stencils: Fleur Di Lis, Thank You (Dreamweaver Stencils)

I love making Clean and Simple cards!!! This morning, I made five of these cards!!!

Stampendous-CASBootcamp

Like I said above….this card is EASY PEASY.

I stamped my focal image, Stampendous Cling Key Note (CRP128) on kraft cardstock with Versafine Vintage Sepia pigment ink. After stamping, I colored the holly leaves and berries with color pencil. I then tied a ribbon with a button. Simple.

From The Zander Zone Blog Hop & Auction

Please scroll down (after you read this post ) to see my Dreamweaver Stencil Thursday Post....

Welcome to the Xander Zone!! You are in for quite a trip through todays Blog Hop and Auction. Our dear friend Betty Roberts, owner of Simply Betty Stamps has just found out this week that her 17 year old son Christian has Stage 1 Throat Cancer. He will be having surgery next week and many months of Therapy to follow. (To read more from Betty on what’s going on please go HERE)

Betty’s DT and the Crafty Sprouts DT along with a few friends have come together today for the From the Xander Zone Blog Hop and Auction! If you are stumbling into this hop please head to Crafty Sprouts to catch the beginning of the hop!

If you hopped here from Zeni's Blog then you are right on track!

As you hop along today you will see cards created with Xander, the first in a new series to be released called “From the Xander Zone”. He is available with a donation to Betty’s family. Christian will be undergoing Surgery next week to remove his tonsils and then the thrice weekly Therapy will begin on the tumor. His therapy could last for many months.

There is also a contest running through October 16th and Christian will pick a random winner who will receive the whole collection! The details on the contest are at the SBS blog.

As you hop today you will also see many cards and projects up for Auction. In order to make a bid on an item leave a comment on that person’s blog with your offer AND your name and email address. Please remember that it might not be you who gets the winning bid, so check back if you really want it! Unfortunetly due to the high costs of international postage, I won't be accepting any bidders from outside of the United States.

At the end of the Hop (Tuesday night October 11th at 9pm EST the auction will come to a close. Winners will be sent a Paypal invoice and the Winners will be announced on the Simply Betty Stamps blog. Please note that we are asking for timely payment, with 48 hours of the announcement on Tuesday morning or the runner up will be chosen. This is for the simple fact that Betty’s family needs this money as quickly as possible for all of these unexpected and out-of-pocket needs.

Today I am offering this 14 x 14 stenciled chalkboard, that I hand painted, stenciled and colored.

I started with a Natural Wood 14 x 14 Memo Board from Canvas Corp. I painted the frame with acrylic paint, when dry, I stenciled with the Dreamweaver Black Eyed Susan stencil and Regular Embossing Paste all around the edges of the frame. Once all edges were stenciled and pasted, I set aside to dry. Once the edges were dry, I replaced the stencil over the images and added pigment ink to where I wanted color on the flowers. I added a few embellishments and the frame was a success. Inside of the frame is "chalkstock" by Canvas Corp. You could also slide a dry erase board in the top of the frame.
Betty and her family will appreciate all donations and proceeds from the auction. You can send cards and donations also too:
Christian Ford
P.O. Box 132314
Big Bear Lake, CA 92315

From here please hop over to Rebecca!

If you get lost along the way, here’s the hop order!

Betty's family, and all of the Hop Participants hope that this auction will help raise money to help with all the upcoming expenses that they are about to succumb. I am keeping Christian and his entire family in my prayers!!!

Dreamweaver Stencil's Dream Team Thursday

Welcome to Dreamweaver Stencil Free Theme Week!!

On Monday, October 10th, our fabulous neighbors to the north, Canada,  will be celebrating Thanksgiving.  I decided to share an easy Thank You card I made a while back.

Dreamweavers10611

I sprayed the background Hounds tooth Stencil (LJ913) with Margarita and Blueberry Milkshake Memory Mists and placed watercolor paper over the top if the stencil and ran it through the Vagabond Machine.  As you can see the Memory Mists left a nice impression on the paper.  When that was dry, I paste embossed over the Hounds tooth design with the Flourish Stencil (LJ896), with translucent paste.  While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled blue and green glitter over the paste.  The Thank You Stencil (LG691) sentiment stencil has six “thank you” sentiments.  It is a great all around stencil.  I paste embossed “Thank You” on blue paper with Glossy White Embossing Paste.

Please take the time to stop by all of the Dream Team’s blogs today and leave them some love!!

You will find a complete blog roll on the right of this post.

You can also play along with us and link your stenciling creation at Dream It Up.  We love to see what people are making with their stencils!

Happy Thanksgiving Canada!!!!

You don't have to use a Stampendous image or products to play along, but we sure love it when you do! You have until Thursday, November 3 at 11:59 PM EST to add your link to the linky tool, and we'll draw a random winner. You can enter as many times as you'd like.

Here is my Clean And Simple card…

Stampendous10111

This card is easy enough that ANYONE can make it!!!

I stamped the GORGEOUS Stampendous Poinsettia Corner and Stampendous Perfectly Clear Christmas Wishes with Tsukineko Versafine Black Onyx. I quickly ran a heat tool over the quick drying pigment ink. Once I was satisfied that the ink was dry, I colored it with Copic Sketch Markers.

I REALLY enjoyed making this Clean and Simple card. Fun!! I know that I am going to enjoy this months challenge!!!
