I thought I would get so much more done....

Hi everyone! I think that I told everyone that I was going to craft my eyes out this weekend. I did get three cards made and eight mini cards made. The mini's only took a bit to make, so they really don't count.

Patterned Paper: Basic Grey Offbeat
Crushed Velvet Paper: The Paper Company

Two posts in one week....OMG...

Here are my creations for today. I am very proud of my progress. I think I will take these cards with me when I go to sell my Graduation cards!!

This photo doesn't show the beautiful shimmer that this card has thanks to Gold Memory Mist. It is beautful. This background was made with Alcohol Inks last week and I cast it aside because I didn't like it. It is perfect for this card. To be honest, I can't remember what inks I used on this. I know they are Distress Ink, but I can't remember the colors. The stamps are Stamps Anonymous and the ribbon is SU. Pretty simple actually. This was the first card that I made today and I left it on my table in front of me all day because I thought something was missing on the bottom left corner. Let me know what you think.

I really love this new stamp set from Stampin' Up, Great Friend. It will be in the Occasions Mini catalog that is available to order from on April 1st. All the paper here is Basic Grey Porcelain (see Blog Candy post). The ribbon is also SU Old Olive 1/4 in. grograin. I touched up the Chocolate Chip ink with Cinnamon Stickles.

This beauty happened by accident. I used Tim Holtz new set from Stampers Anonymous, Floral Tattoo. I heat embossed the floral image in the left with silver embossing powder and also the butterflies in the scalloped ovals center. Liquid Pearls all around the scallop. I guess I shoudl clue you in in a major part of this card. The cardstock started out white. I used a brayer and Pink Piroette SU ink and rolled the heck out of it. I used silver pigment ink on the sentiment and ....another card was a success.
All these cards were so fun to make!!! Thank you for taking the time to look!!! Have a super night!

Once a week is starting to become a habit....

Good afternoon!
You all know how much I love creating. I am not purposely, NOT blogging. I really have been crazy busy, and it doesn't seem like it is going to give in any time soon.

This morning, I finally sat down and made some prototype cards for the wonderful gal at the local specialty shop here who sells my cards. She had requested Mother's Day, Father's Day and Graduation cards, back in January. I am just getting around to them. Today I made Graduation...

I still have one more protoype to make for the local university, but I am waiting on a stamp. I should get it tomorrow. The colors used are for all the local high schools.
Stamps: Great Grad, In The Stars, Bursting with Joy, Baraque Motifs (Stampin' Up)
Cardstock: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Brushed Gold, Basic Black, Red Riding Hood, Brilliant Blue (Stampin' Up)
Ink: Brilliant Blue, Red Riding Hood, Encore Ultimate Metallic Ink Pad, Elegant Eggplant (Stampin' Up)
Die Cuts: Spellbinders Classic Ovals, QuicKutz Calendar 2008 and Maddie Ann Alphabet
Punches: Large and small star, 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 Circle punch (Stampin' Up)
Others: Jeweled Gold Embossing powder and Gold Embossing powder
If you choose to leave a comment, PLEASE leave real honest feedback. These will be out for the public to buy. I don't want to make a fool of myself!!! (hehe)
Thank you for taking a look!!!
Tomorrow I am posting a GREAT blog candy!! If you are currently a follower, you are for sure in the running for the winnings!! More deets tomorrow!!!

Here is some blogging news.....I am still on the look out for Loanne. She won the Scor-Pal on my last blog candy. I left her a message on her blog, but I have not heard from her. If anyone knows Loanne, please ask her to email me her address.

I am in the works to have another blog candy. I would like to have more followers to my blog, so if you don't currently follow, you should. It will include new and current followers!!!

Here are my creations for this week...

Where have I been....

Geez...thats a good question! I don't even know or remember!! *hehe*
I just got done with my work week and I am now in Great Falls, Montana for a visit with family and friends! I attended a music festival at the local high school here. They had a guest conductor from the University of Wyoming that was amazing! My son was a member of the choir, therefore, I really enjoyed it.

It is a crazy Winter Wonderland here. The temperature is -4 and snowing like crazy! If I can get a good picture of something other than a car accident, I will post.

I have missed my crafty posts this past week, but I'm not really sure where the week or the weekend went. Some if it is even hard for me to remember, and I wasn't drinking margarita's either! Those of you that are on my friends list at Facebook, probably saw the post that said I'd rather be drinking margarita's. That was just an expression!! *giggle*

I will be leaving Great Falls early in the morning I should be home in my cozy craft room by noon and I am going to attack 365 cards challenges!!

OMG...I just remembered that I am having a card class tomorrow night. Scratch 365 cards, I better prepare for that!!

By the way... I my 3 projects with the same stamp challenge, won over at If The Shoe Fits Scrap It blog. Yah....Please check out their challenges for this week!!!!

See you tomorrow!!!

WOW!!! Three posts today...One more challenge...

WOW...three posts in one day!! This for sure, will be my last challenge of the day. This card will be entered in the Color Inspiration Challenge #44. We were asked to use SU colors, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Pink Pirouette, and Whisper White. I also used the Level One Hostess set "God's Beauty" (yah! another new set gets to be put away). Once again, I also blinged it up with Diamond and Stardust Stickles, and Liquid Pearls Petal Pink. The ribbon is SU Taffeta ribbon Whisper White and Pretty In Pink.

I am also entering this in the 365 Cards, Less Is More challenge. We were asked not to use more than two embellishments. I consider an embellishment a brad, button or flower. My Stickles and Liquid Pearls may be considered embellies here.

Until tomorrow!! Good night!~

More challenges...and OH-NO...something more to distract me.....

Hi friends!!! OK...more challenges out of the way. This morning I started a Facebook profile. I have been on that thing for almost 4 hours. I HATE that I wasted that much time! I did run into a friend from High School, but only one. I was a little disappointed!

First challenge is for the Sunday Sketch at 365 Cards. I think you need to make a card everyday in this challenge, and I can already tell that I am not going to make it. I am only one the first challenges and it is four days into it. I'm in trouble.....

I made the background for this card a few days ago. I was messing with the Distress Ink smoosh techniques and actually set this aside, because I wasn't very happy with it. Last night after fussy cutting these flowers, I was really happy I didn't throw it out!! I was able to use two of my new SU sets on this (actually three, but don't want to cheat). I stamped the distressed background with the Kindred Spirits stamps, and the flowers are the Playful Petals set. The Distress inks that I used are Worn Lipstick, Broken China, Peeled Paint, and Spiced Marmalade. To bling it up a bit, I used Stickles, Turquoise, Star Dust, and Cotton Candy. The SU inks used are Almost Amethyst, Apricot Appeal, Old Olive, Pretty In Pink and Certainly Celery.

My cute little altered notebook here is for If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It challenge. I am not sure if I will be disqualified, because I made my own notebook with my Bind It All. The cover is acetate that I ran through the Big Shot with a CH embossing folder. I then Stickled the whole thing and placed the adorable MS butterfly punches on it. I used Liquid Pearls, Petal Pink and Mint Green on the bodies. The ribbon is SU. I hope this counts.

I may be done for today if I head back over to Facebook! *hehe* Thanks for stopping by!!!

Another Challenge Bites The Dust...

This is another challenge for the If The Shoe Fits....Scrap It blog. The challenge was to follow Kristina Werner's file folder album tutorial.

Lots of products used, but probably the most is the Urban Praire paper by Basic Grey! Such a fun print!!!! I used alot of old embellies that I haven't dug out in a while, or used for the first time.
Thanks for taking the time to look!!! Have a super night and see you tomorrow!!!!

Challenges,challenges, challenges...

Holy smokes...my reader is FULL of great challenges. I want to do all of them, and am scrabbling thinking I won't get everything done before the deadline!!! I will continue to post throughout the day, but I wanted to share my first and largest challenge of the day. This is for Lesley's challenge at If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It. This blog just started on Saturday and all of their design team members are posting a new challenge everyday. You can view the challenges here If The Shoe Fits...Scrap It.
In this challenge we had to use the same stamp in at least three different projects. I have been wanting to make a small name plate for my scrap space. For the background I used Stream Adirondack Alcohol Ink, and for the frame, I used Pitch Black and Silver Metallic Mixative, also from Adirdondack, the letters are Tim Holtz Grungeboard Plain Alpha's which I used Alcohol Ink on, and Distress Stickles. The back ground stamps are Tim Holtz NEW Stampers Anonymous "Floral Tattoo" and the butterfly is from the TH's Stamper Anonymous "Nature's Discovery".

The cute little butterflies are a Martha Stewert punch, the flourish is TH's Grungeboard, and the key from TH's Ideaology. The silver corners are something I picked up at a random craft shop a while back. I can't give any credit there.

My next project for this challenge is a 3x3 mini accordian book. I stamped the same stamp from the "Floral Tattoo" set and embossed with with copper embossing powder. The photo does the beautiful color NO JUSTICE. There are four pages to this album and they are embellished with Basic Grey Mellow papers. There is a pocket on each page for storing small do-dads! The picture doesn't show the cute accordian binding on this, but the hinges are also TH Grungeboard, colored with Pitch Black and Copper Mixative from Adirondack. The closure is SU Basic Black 1/4 " ribbon. The edge lace ribbon is from JoAnn's.

For my last project I made a card. I used the same stamp from the "Floral Tattoo". The background is TH's Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint, Broken China, and Spiced Marmalade Distress Inks. The stamp was embossed with Peeled Paint embossing powder. I used a TH border mask along the bottom and a SU Old Olive 5/8" ribbon. The sentiment is a TH Stampers Anonymous stamp from the "Fancy Flourish" set.

Here is a group photo...
