Dreamweaver Stencils CAS November Challenge

Welcome to Dreamweaver Stencils Clean and Simple (CAS) November Challenge.

Today I am sharing a fast and easy technique that can make Christmas card making a breeeze.

Ink Transfer Technique...

To get started, choose your stencil and your favorite color of Memory Mist.  Today I am using Blue Martini by Memory Mist, glossy card stock  and Dreamweaver Stencil Star Dream Christmas Tree, LG746.  I have a layered paper towel under the stencil to catch over spray and spray through the image on the stencil.

I have sprayed a nice amount of Memory Mist onto the back of the stencil.  You will  know ithe back of the stencil because Lynell Harlow's name isn't on this side.  If you can see words or numbers, you are looking at the front of the stencil.

Once  there is nice coverage on the stencil, carefully transfer it with your fingers to a clean layer of paper towels.

Lay the glossy cardstock, glossy side onto the ink.  I press my fingers onto the paper, without pushing the paper around to much.

Carefully lift the glossy cardstock off of your stencil and this is your result.

Set the inked, glossy cardstock aside for 15 minutes to dry, or you can apply heat with a heat tool, just not too close.  Your glossy cardstock will turn brown from the heat.

Using my Ink Transferred Technique image I made a very simple, easy to reproduce card.
I hope you can incorporate this technique and Dreamweaver Stencils  into your Holiday card making.

Please share with us your Christmas CAS creations at Dream It Up, the Dreamweaver Stencils blog.

I would love for your to get your creative juices flowing by visiting the rest of the Dreamweaver Stencil Design Team.....

Stampendous and Beacon Adhesives Blog Hop!!!

Those of you that know the fabulous, gooey, sticky goodness in Beacon Adhesives can understand my love for their them!!  Oh my goodness, they have an adhesive for EVERYTHING and you all know that Beacon Adhesives are the "Official Liquid Glue of Craft Wars starring Tori Spelling", with good reason!!

All this week, Stampendous has been posting fabulous projects from the Stampendous Team!!  You can see all this week's projects on the Stampendous Impressions Blog!

Soon Christmas cards will be showing up in the mail box and I wanted to create a place to display them, so I decided to create a Christmas Card Display....

I started my project with a cool wooden ring from Indus/DIY Bangles.   I applied a tan and white mixture of acrylic paint.

I stamped a 12 x 12 piece of tissue from Canvas Corp with a Stampendous MUST HAVE, the Poinsettia Background stamp.

Once my frame was dry, I applied Fast Finish Decoupage Medium to the frame.  One of my favorite things about Fast Finish by Beacon is that it is as thin as water and clear.

Once I had applied a thin coat of Fast Finish over the circle, I layed the stamped tissue paper over the top and let it dry. Once that was dry, I applied another thin layer of Fast Finish over the top of the tissue as well.

In the mean time, I was also given a few cute little wood beads from Indus/DIY Bangles.  I also wanted to keep the theme of the Stampendous November Challenge, Essential Elements, I grabbed some Beacon 527 Multi Purpose Glue and Champagne Glass Glitter.

I coated two beads with Beacon 527 and then rolled them around in Glass Glitter.
Set aside dry.

I still had some time while things were drying so I cut a circle of this small square fencing that I had laying around my craft room and applied it to the back of the wooden circle.
The stamps I used for my project  are the Jumbo Cling Poinsettia Stamp, which can be found at
7 Kids College Fund, as well as the Jumbo Cling Cardinals.  I colored them with Alcohol Ink Markers and in the photo you can see the comparison in the two Poinsettia's, the flower on the right has Fast Finish on the pedals and the flower in the left nothing.

Here is a closer look at the stamped tissue around the ring.

The Champagne Glass Glitter Encrusted Bead, which I hung some decorative bells from.

More Champagne Glass Glitter in the center of the Poinsetta's.

The entire project.

The whole team is playing along today, so be sure to visit all of the blogs and leave some insightful, kind comments (the kind that let us know you looked at the project) and we'll give some great prizes, sending some of you with U.S. mailing addresses some Fast Finish Decoupage Medium and some Stampendous Stamps. Here we go...

Dreamweaver Stencil & Ranger Industries Grand Finale

We've now had four weeks of festively distressed fun playing with the Ranger/Tim Holtz Distress Powders along with our wonderful line of Dreamweaver Stencils and products. Huge thanks to Tim Holtz and the fab people at Ranger for sharing these four collaborative weeks with us, and providing the yummy shades of Distress Powders for us to create with. We've been inspired by the process, and we hope you have, too!
If you haven't won one of the prize packages yet, you still have one more opportunity this week as the set below is up for grabs to a random commenter on one of the Dream Team blogs
If you've been following along each week, you've seen some gorgeous creations with these stencils and powders, so you should be all fired up to get distressed! If you've missed the first three weeks, check them out once you've made the rounds today:

My festively distressed project for this week is this:

I used the fabulous Ranger Distress Embossing Powders instead of glitter for the Double Glitter technique!!  I can't say that I use all Distress powders, I did sprinkle a bit of Stickle Green Fine Glitter in there.

A few weeks ago I made a video using this technique.  You can view it below.

Here is a close up of the Double "Embossing Powder" background.

Don't forget to leave me some love before hopping to the rest of the Dream Team blogs:

Please remember to continue to follow the team through the Dream It Up! blog as we bravely go where no stenciler has gone before, to like us on our Facebook page, and to learn from our fabulous weekly Thursday Tutorials on Paper Craft Planet as well.

Dreamweaver Stencils and Ranger!!! Festively Distressed

Still feeling festive? We hope so! Dreamweaver and Ranger still have two weeks left of our Festively Distressed collaboration, and we are full of distressing ideas...Tim Holtz' Distress Powder ideas, that is. Mixed with our fabulous line of stencil designs and exciting products, your creativity will know no bounds! If you missed the first two weeks, start HERE and HERE!

For our postings this week and next, we are offering you the opportunity to win one of two prize packages, perfectly coordinated for your holiday crafting. Simply leave a comment on each of our Dream Team's posts, and YOU could be one of two randomly selected winners!

The Dream Team have been challenged for the month of November to create something CAS (clean and simple) for the holidays. The extra challenge is mixing the Distress Powders in for the collaboration with Ranger. Think that it's possible? Well...let's see...

Here's what I came up with:

I dry embossed the Holiday Flourish  stencil (LG731) with the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine.  I moved both Tab 1 & 2 on the multipurpose platform and layered as follows: stencil, paper (with a light spritz of rubbing alcohol on the back), Stamping Detail Rubber Mat and two Big Shot acrylic plates and ran the concoction through the machine.

With the stencil still in place, I applied Versamark Watermark Ink to the embossed and exposed area of my card stock.  I removed the stencil and started applying Distress Embossing powders where I saw fit.  I powders I used were Peeled Paint, Aged Mahogany and Milled Lavender.  Once powders were applied, I melted them with a heat tool.

I added a sentiment from an older Tim Holtz Stamper's Anonymous set called Winter Sketchbook CMS094.

So tell me what you think in your comment below before heading over to the rest of the Dream Team posts:

The Ranger blog is offering another amazing prize opportunity, just for playing along with the Ranger/Tim Holtz Distress Powders and Dreamweaver Stencils and linking your creation on the Ranger blog. You can find more details HERE.

We hope that you have been inspired by our creations, and will continue to follow the Dream Team through the Dream It Up! blog as well as to like us on our Facebook page. We really encourage you to play along with our monthly challenges for more prize opportunities and creative fun!

Dreamweaver Stencils and Ranger Festively Distressed Video Tutorial

Welcome back to week two of our amazing collaboration between Ranger's Tim Holtz line of Distress Powders, and our beautiful Dreamweaver Stencils & Products! If you missed last week's event, start HERE.

Last week, we were totally blown away by the awesome response we received from those of you who hopped over from Tim Holtz's blog and the Ranger blog to check us out! We've been doing the "happy dance" ever since! Hopefully, you will continue to check us out, especially over the next few weeks as we continue our play-time in Tim's sandbox. (It is rather an appropriate metaphor considering the cool texture of his Distress Powders.)

Apparently, Tim and the wonderful people at Ranger were also excited by the response, and they've decided to "up the ante" in the form of an additional prize package(s) which will include TWELVE Distress Powders each, and a handful of Dreamweaver Stencils to go with! Wow! Just one teeny-tiny detail...to win one of these packages from their blog, you need to create something with Tim Holtz's Distress Powders and Dreamweaver Stencils and attach it to the inlinkz on the Ranger blog. Winners will be selected randomly. For more details, head over to the Ranger blog.

Once again, this week we are offering another fall prize package as shown here. Just leave us all some love as you visit, for an opportunity to be the one random winner we select. Curious as to who won from last week? It could be YOU! Visit the Dream It Up! blog for the announcement of the lucky commenter.

Stampendous October 2012 New Release Week!!!!

Good morning!!!

I can't take all the credit for the design of this card, but I can take credit for the coloring and the beautiful Stampendous image!

I was completely inspired by a pinner on Pinterest that used this card design and die cuts.  I simply added the new image from the Rose Thoughts Perfectly Clear Set by Stampendous.  You can start pre-orders fro this fabulous set on:

In trying to achieve the look of a white rose, I simply colored my rose with E81 and a bit of W0 and the Blender Pen.

We have more Design Team members with terrific samples to show you today, we hope you'll visit their blogs and leave comments...who knows..the circus might come to your town!!!
