Sweet ‘N Sassy Digi Challenge Friday!!
Dreamweaver Stencils & Art Institute Glitter June Blog Collaboration!!
AND
ARE TEAMING UP THE ENTIRE MONTH OF JUNE TO BRING YOU AN AMAZING CREATIVE COLLABORATION MIXING DREAMWEAVER STENCILS AND ART GLITTER. COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE...WE PROMISE IT WILL BE A SPARKLING ONE!
The Double Glitter Technique is the very first stenciling technique that I attempted. I was immediately in love and haven’t stopped using glitter since.
Today I used the Rose Tree LG744 and Art Institutes Tulip Opaque Pee Wee Kit to achieve the Double Glitter Technique.
The supplies used to achieve this technique are:
1) Apply soap to the back of your stencil. The stencil is going to be placed on Double Sided Mounting Paper and the soap will prevent the stencil from sticking to the paper. Apply a generous amount of soap. I like to add just a bit more when I think I have applied enough.
2) Place stencil, soap side onto the Double Sided Mounting Paper. Save the protective backing from the paper, to press onto the top of your stencil to ensure that is properly adhered.
3) Apply glitter in desired areas, with desired colors. Again, use the backing from the Double Sided Mounting Paper to press onto the top of the glitter and stencil to adhere as much glitter as you can. Use a Glitter Magnet or Swiffer to pick up excess bits of glitter from your project. This is an important step. The tiny bits of glitter will sit on top of the project or pile into the small crevices of the stencil, when the stencil is removed, the bits of glitter will fly to undesired area’s on the exposed Double Sided Mounting Paper.
4) Remove stencil from Double Sided Mounting Paper and sprinkle a white or transparent glitter on the rest of the exposed, adhesive area of the paper.
If you’re interested in a PDF version of the Double Glitter Technique, please leave me you’re email address and I would be happy to email the step by step directions to you.
Supplies:
Stencils: Rose Tree (Dreamweaver Stencils)
Glitter: Tulip Pee Wee Kit (Art Institute), Ultra Fine Micro Crystal Glitter (Stampendous)
Paper: Ocean Tide (Papertray), patterned paper (Authentique)
Ribbon: Olive Sheer/Satin Center (May Arts)

I was so inspired this week by the Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge, that I had to incorporate my Stampendous stamps with it.
Our theme this month is Summer and flowers are certainly SUMMER!
I stamped the flowers from Agapanthus Perfectly Clear Stamp Set with Versamark Watermark Ink and heat embossed with White PEARLustre embossing powder. The outlines of the Agapanthus was heat embossed with Aged Taupe Embossing Enamel.
I stamped the sentiment with Aged Taupe Embossing Enamel and cut around it. I adhered the sentiment to this beautiful taupe colored crochet lace.
I stapled the lace to the card panel.
Supplies:
Paper: Classic Solar Crest, Desert Storm (Neenah)
Stamps: Agapanthus Perfectly Clear Stamp Set (Stampendous)
Ink: Versamark Watermark Ink (Tsukineko)
Extras: crotchet lace (stash), White PEARLustre Embossing Powder, Aged Taupe Embossing Enamel (Stampendous), staples (Ranger)
Be sure to check out what my teammates have created for the challenge today!

Dreamweaver Stencils Black & White Challenge with a *SPLASH* of color!
It's the very merry month of May now, and the Dreamweaver Stencils' Dream Team are playing with a new challenge, and we're hoping that YOU will play along! All of this month, we'll be creating for graduations and/or using black and white with a pop of color. May and June are typically the time for grads in the US, but to keep things even more interesting, you can choose to play with our colorway challenge instead.
I am in love with Art Nouveau Flourish Stencil. To create this background, I pasted one side of the card panel with Dreamweaver Pearlescent Embossing Paste, allowed it to dry, turned the stencil around and pasted the other side of the card panel. The sentiment, Dreamweaver Stencils Congratulations, was paste embossed with Pearlescent Embossing Paste also.
The colorful mat was created by smooshing Dreamweaver Color Solutions Alcohol Inks together on glossy paper. The colors used here are Thistle, Sizzling Silver and Color Solutions Thinner & Cleaner.
Obviously, to play along with us, you do not have to have a complicated creation, so pull out your supplies and have some fun! Link your creation to the Dream It Up! blog, or email pics of your creation to Lynell@dreamweaverstencils.com. We love to post your submissions on the blog as well as the Facebook page. Even more, we love to provide you the opportunity to win one of two sets of two stencils by playing along. You have all of May to link as many creations as you'd like! Skipping Stones Designs Tips & Trick Thursday…Stamping on Acetate
Good morning!
Today I am sharing a not so secret, secret to stamping on acetate!! It is really all in the ink!!!
Here are my supplies:
Acetate, Skipping Stones Designs Beautiful Botanicals stamp set, Color Solutions Alcohol Inks by Dreamweaever Stencils, Felt Applicator and protection for my stamped surface.
I cut a 2 by 3 rectangle of acetate.
I applied a few drops of Color Solutions Iceberg Ink to my felt applicator and started adding color to one side of the acetate.
I added a few drops Color Solutions Aspen Leaf Alcohol Ink to the felt applicator and daubed under the first color.
For years I stamped on Acetate, to reveal a black smeared image that I was disappointed in. I was told Memories Ink by Stewart Superior would not smear on Acetate and of course, I had to see it to believe it.
Before stamping on the acetate, you will want to stamp on the side of the acetate that doesn't have alcohol ink on it.
I added Memories Ink to my clear stamp and placed it on my Acetate surface. Low and behold....NO SMEARING!!
♥happiest girl in the world♥
PERFECTO!!!
Using a rectangle nestabilities die, I cut a rectangle out of the front panel of my card and then another rectangle out of a piece of a bit smaller cardstock. I adhered my stamped acetate in the open rectangle of the front panel. To give the inside a finished look, I adhered the second window panel of cardstock over the edges of acetate.
The finished product....
Thanks for stopping by today!!!
See you next time!!

Stampendous Saturday ~ National Scrapbook Day!!!
Happy National Scrapbook Day!!
A day that scrapbooker look forward to all YEAR long!!!
A few of the Stampendous Design Team members created page layouts using beautiful Stampendous stamps!!
My Mom and I took a fabulous vacation to Maui in 2010 and I have pictures galore to scrapbook.
The new Cling Jumbo Tropical Garden sure fit the bill for this page!!
I stamped the darling Plumeria border in each corner and colored with Copics. I stamped the Hibiscus on a separate sheet of paper, colored it and cut it out. I simply popped it up with dimensional adhesive at the corner of the photo for the perfect embellishment. The patterned paper is from Island Paperie in Maui.
