Stampendous & EnviroTex Resin Finally Meet!!

We're so happy you found us today! We've been enjoying the fun crafting potential of combining our fantastic stamp images with EnviroTex Jewelry Resin from Environmental Technologies.

We've prepared some fantastic projects to inspire you today.  We hope you'll run over to your local Michaels or other craft store and pick up some resin and some Stampendous stamps and get playing.

I want you all to know, that it took me longer to plan these projects than it did to make them.  The resin takes quite a while to cure, set and get solid.

I started with a Tim Holtz Fragment that has a hole in the top for a jump ring.  I stamped Psalm 46:10 from the Stampendous Inspired Verse Perfectly Clear Set (SSC066), onto the clear fragment with Stazon Ink from Tsukineko.  I let the ink sit for a moment, and I mixed my resin together and added just a hint of Silver Halo Glitter to the resin for a slight sparkle.

I started adding resin with the stir stick that is provided in the EnviroTex Resin package. The resin applied almost with the same consistency as honey.

The amazing thing about resin, was I was able to move it around the area I wanted to be protected and it never poured off the edge.  It is thin enough to apply, but thick enough to not run everywhere.

Carmi sent this darling leopard bottle cap with our resin.  I love leopard print, so I mixed Stampendous Black, Champagne, Bronze Crushed Glass Glitter  and Gold Halo Glitter together, trying to mimic the colors of a leopard with the Crushed Glass Glittter.  Here is a quick and shiny refrigerator magnet.

Here is this sparkler in action...

Carmi Cimiata of the Resin Crafts Blog has helped us learn so much about how this product works, what it can and cannot do. We're so appreciative of her and the folks at ETI who sent us all some resin to play with. {big round of applause!}

If you make something fun, please take a picture and put it on our Facebook page! We'd love to see what you're doing!

As you visit each blog, you'll be entered in our drawing for a great prize package when you leave a comment! If you don't tell us you were there by commenting, we can't include you in the drawing! We'll pick a winner from today's comments separate from the commenter's throughout the week. Get hopping!

I like how the glitter mixed into the resin. For the bible quote - did you drill a hole for the the jump ring to go through?
