Good morning everyone!!! I hope you all are having a super day!!!
Today is a Dreamweaver Stencil Dream Schemes post and Lynell has challenged us to a sketch!!
She was sweet enough to use one of my sketches this week!! I was so flattered. This is the first time anyone would have used one of my sketches besides me!!! Thank you Lynell!!!
Here it is....
Here is mine...
As you can see.....the "glitter is going to get you" happened to me!!! I wish you could see this card in person!! The holly leaves are green, the berries are red, the flourishes are black....I was thrilled with the way it turned out!! I used a new stencil released this past summer Holly Flourish (LG731).
Here are the other supplies that I used on my card:
Card Stock: Whisper White, Handsome Hunter, Real Red (Stampin' Up)
Ink: Handsome Hunter (Stampin' Up)
Glitter: Craft Supply
Ribbon: May Arts
Stencil: Dreamweaver Stencil Holly Flourish (LG731)
Here is another fun card I made. This one has nothing to do with the sketch, but does have some "glitterly goodness" as promised!!!
I had a great time making this card. Here are the supplies that I used:
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke (Stampin' Up)
Velvet Paper (The Paper Company)
Patterned Paper: Bo Bunny
Ink: Distress Embossing Ink (Ranger)
Dies: Rosette (Tim Holtz for Sizzix); Heirloom Ornaments (Spellbinders)
Stamps: Winter Sketchbook (Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous)
Glitter: Craft Supply
Stickles: Gold (Ranger)
Please take the time to see what the other members of the Dream Team are up to today...
I hope you all have a day full of blessings!!! Take care!!!

Wowwee, two beautiful cards Wendy! So you used the double glitter technique? That one must have taken a bit of work...but worth it!
GORGEOUS Wendy! That holly stencil is one of my very favourite Christmas stencils; you've used it beautifully. And your ornament card is SO elegant...WOW!!
I can't believe it! As always you turned out a beautiful card. This is one of my favorite stencils and well anything with glitter and sparkle attracts my eye. And 2 cards, girl you are going to make the rest of us look bad, LOL.
Oh Wendy, I just think both these cards are so pretty! Holly flourish stencil is one of my favorites. The second card is stunning! I love the glittery, shinny gold look and all the dimension.
Gotta love that glitter! It makes for great Christmas cards! Great job on both cards.
great sketch...i of course went off a little...love your cards..love the light and the ornament! You go girl
Wow, can't believe you used the glitter technique with so many colors! Turned out beautiful! Great sketch, Wendy!
Two cards! They're awesome and the glitter technique is stunning.
Love your interpretation. The holly is one of my favorites also. You did a great job. I need to get more TAC paper and play with glitter more.
Hi Wendy, I've never done any stencil craft...what product do you recommend from Dreamweavers to go with the Swirl stencils? And which are your favorite stencils for versatility?
Fantastic! Hmm, that Holly Swirls stencil is very elegant no matter what you do to it. As far as your previous commentor goes, I personally think you should get any of the stencils that make you think, "how beautiful", because you will find a way to use it then. As far as personal opinion goes, I find that tree branch one to be SUPER versatile. Technically a Christmas stencil, but it can be used in the spring, too.
Wow, Wendy! I love that simple little ornament on the second card. I don't think I've seen it before - I'm going to have to check it out!
Your sketch was great to work with and I love how you turned yours upside down! Sketches are great! Thanks for letting us use yours!
