Dreamweaver Blue & Purple Dream Scheme Color Challenge

Yeah!!!! Thursdays here! It's a great day of the week to fall upon my blog! Every Thursday, Dreamweaver Stencils Dream Team reveals a bit of inspiration on each of their blogs. Each week, Lynell, owner & designer of our wonderful stencils, challenges us to create something spectacular. This week she asked for Blue and Purple, and I had just the thing for her....

I knew right away that I was going to use the Petals Background (LJ899) stencil with the Double Glitter Technique and Lapis & Amethyst glitter!!! I then pasted my Happy Birthday (LM239) with Glossy Blue Embossing Paste (beautiful!! Photo doesn't do it justice! Must try for yourself!). Next, I took a scrap piece of blue paper and using Glossy White Embossing Paste, stenciled Curliques (LJ855). Once I got all the components piled on, I wrapped the sentiment with a shimmery seam binding, added some jewels, and called it BEAUTIFUL!!!! This card was based on the sketch by Julee Tilman at Mojo Monday.

Following with Lynell's blue theme, I put together a simple, yet elegant card using the Merry Christmas (LL386) stencil. Once again I simply paste embossed the sentiment using Glossy Blue Embossing Paste. I followed that with some scoring and placement of gems & a bow....TAAA DAAAA!!

Here are the deets....make a project using Dreamweaver Stencils, go to Dream It Up and link your project to Mr. Linky. Please link to your blog or an online album. We appreciate if you can link directly to your project then we can come by and leave you some love on your wonderful creations!!!

That glitter background on the first card is so pretty, and that second card is gorgeous in it's simplicity! That same card layout could become a wedding card, birthday, congrats, whatever! Love it!

The petals background stencil is one of my favorites but I've never used it with the double glitter technique. Guess I'm going to have to give it a try. Thanks for the inspiration!
