Dreamweaver Stencils Holiday Celebrations with Ranger Distress Paints

Ready to be festively distressed once again? The Dream Team have been playing with Ranger's Distress Paints, and are ready to inspire you to be distressed as well...paint distressed that is! Dreamweaver Stencils are the perfect choice to mix with all things festively distressed, as nothing shows off color and texture better than great designs. By following our hop and leaving love along the way, you have the opportunity to win a great prize package including five Ranger Distress Paints and five Dreamweaver Stencils! Here's the lineup for today, including our November Guest Designer:

This is also our first posting day featuring our new monthly challenge, "Holiday Celebrations", and for the entire month we will be demonstrating ways to use Beacon Adhesives' entire line of products with Dreamweaver to create special projects in home decor and gifts of love. Here's mine:

I couldn't wait to try out the Ranger Distress Paint Mowed Grass!!!   This is my first time trying the paints, so I had to watch Tim's video to see what it could do!!

I liked the idea of wetting down the paint right away.  I used the cool sponge "dauber" and painted the front of a wooden 12 x 12 frame and sprayed it down with a ton a water.  The above photo is a picture of the paint wet .  I love how the water mixes with the paint!!!

After everything was dry, I had done a bit of stenciling with paste, once that was dry, I mixed Chipped Sapphire and Mowed Grass Distress Paint with Stickles Glitter.  Just so you know, mixing the two colors together and the glitter did nothing.

In the above photo, the holly leaf is so glittery and sparkly because I added extra glitter to the top of the wet paint.

I also pulled out Beacon Gem Tac!  The only way to glue down gems!!

My finished project!  A few fun stencils added and a holiday frame with a tropical photo.

Supplies Used:

Paint: Ranger Distress Paint Mowed Grass, Chipped Sapphire
Glitter: Ranger Dry Stickles

You're a braver soul than me! I wanted to paste emboss on my frame but I was too chicken! Yours is great! I love Mowed Grass, it's one of my favorite shades of green! I like the way you mixed the two paints with the glitter. Very cool idea that I'll be using, too!
