Finally...Back To My Blog...

HI everyone!!! Man it has been a long week for me. My week starts on Thursday and ends on Monday! Thank you all so much for all the wonderful comments on my projects here on my blog. I am slowly getting to everyone's blog that has left a comment for the amazing Scor-Pal giveaway!!! The deadline to get in on that giveaway is March 5th.
Over the weekend, I received my adorable 3D QuicKutz Butterfly! I couldn't wait to use it. I made a couple of cards for friends that needed a pick me up...

Both of these cards are made with Basic Grey's newest paper patterns. The top card is made with 6x6 Marrakech Paper and the bottom cards is made with 6x6 Porcelain paper. Both beautiful sets of paper. Love them. I was able to incorporate my newest Stampin' Up punch into the top card. It is the Eyelet Border punch (cute, cute, cute) and on the bottom card, I used a border punch from Martha Stewert. Both cards have hat pins and pearl beads from the Stampin' Up Pretties Kit. The stamps on the top card are from the new SU set Cheep Talk.
Thank you for taking a look and if you haven't left a comment on the Scor-Pal giveaway, there is only 9 days left!!!!
Have a good day!!!

I had two really good days off. Now its back to work... Here is my third and final challenge for the week. This is for the PaperTake Weekly challenge. We were asked to make a "matching set" of whatever. I kept on the sage green and peach theme and kept in making small items for my co-workers card box (see below). Here is a 3x3 mini album for her and a bookmark.

This was also my first and lucklily, successful attempt a using my Bind It All I got for Christmas. All other products used was from my stash. Fibers from Making Memories, who knows how long I have had those, foam flowers that I have never opened from Petaloo, pearls and chipboard letter from Stampin' Up and I used Crackle accents on the letter. All cardstock and patterned paper are from CTMH " Key To My Heart" collection.

Two challenges down, one more to go...

This is another Cuttlebug Challenge Blog challenge. We were to make a Yellow card. I think I nailed it.

I have been dying to use this cute little stamp set for a few months now. It is the Just Buzzin' By set, brand new from Stampin Up. I bought in a pre-sale and just now am using it. I am super happy with what I came up with! I also used Cuttlebug Embossing folders. You can't really see the embossed edge on the right side of the card from the photo. Maybe on this one...

Yes, you can see it a little better.
Thank you for taking a look!! Have a good day!!!

I am getting caught up today on all the challenges that I found to be exciting! This is my take (and it really isn't even close) to the Kaboodle Sketch challenge (http://kaboodledoodles.blogspot.com/). I started off with good intensions, but then I went where the card took me.
Yesterday I received the WONDERFUL call from my LSS, that all of the new Tim Holtz stamps arrived and I had to go get mine!! This is Tim's brand new set, Fairytale Frenzy. I used Adirondack Color Wash ink, Denim, Lettuce, Butterscotch and Red Pepper. Cardstock, flowers and ribbon are from my stash. The adorable bead is from Michaels clearence! Thanks for taking a look!!!

Good evening! I got the tutorial from this adorable card box from the Cuttlebug Challenge blog.

All of the paper in this box is from the CTMH "Key to My Heart" set. The stamping on the front of the box is also from that set. The embossed strip in the front of the box shown at the left is a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

The cards and tags on the inside are all made with Stampin' Up set. True Friend, A Little Somethin' Somethin' , Season of Friendship and Say It With Scallops. Beaded trim is from clearance at Joann's, the flourish was cut with Pazzles Inspiration and Swirls & Twirls Image CD, flower;Prima.

Today has been pretty quiet around my house with Levi gone. I finished a scrapbook page, two cards and this gift tag. Oh my goodness, I am having so much fun with everything Tim Holtz. I haven't found one product of his that I don't love and due to that feeling, I feel I need everything he has. I am eyeing paint dabbers and crackle paint in every color. I have already committed to purchase every set of his new Cling Mounted Stamps at the lss here, so I better be careful.

On this tag I used Antique Linen crackle paint and a variety of Distress Inks. I used Tim Holtz Fancy Flourish and Nature's Moments stamp sets, grungeboard, and the butterfly is K& Co. The beaded trim is clearence at Joann's.

Thanks for looking!

This week is Levi's (my hubby's) first out of town job since his knee surgery, so therefore, I will be getting some cards and scrapping done!!! YAH! Here are a couple of FUN cards that I was just messing around with and I LOVE how they turned out! I used a Wax transfer technique that I saw on www.patstamps.com. I used Stazon ink on glossy paper to stamp Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps, then I used wax paper in a Cuttlebug Embossing folder and then ironed the wax paper onto glossy paper. When I was good and transferred, I used a brayer and inked over the top. The transfer doesn't show up as good in the photo, but is great in person. Love this technique. Thanks Technique Junkies.

It's been a busy few days few days with my travel to Great Falls, but I got home fairly early yesterday. I worked on some layout challenges that I had signed up for.

Today I finished two challenges. The first was the Basic Grey Challenge.

I'm glad I did this challenge, because half way through I decided that this is Levi's Valentine Card. I used all BG Bittersweet paper and the stamp set is CTMH "Key To My Heart" that my lovely friend Tracey (CTMH Consultant) was nice enought t hook me up with.

My next project is an acrylic tag that I cut out and ran through the Big Shot with a Cuttlebug Embossing folder. I used that cool flocked Doodlebug paper and some scallopped ribbon. Letters are Making Memories. Very easy and fun. I was really impressed with the acrylic sheets going though the Cuttlebug. I will enter this in the Cuttlebug Challenge this week.

Thanks for looking!

Awww...I finally got to play with my *NEW* Tim Holtz stamps, Distress Stickles and Grungeboard. It is hard to see on the photo, but I did stamps a beautiful flourish with Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous Nature's Discovery set on the background of the tag using Fired Brick ink. I used Red Pepper, Terra Cotta, Ginger, and Copper Metallic. The scallop is Grungeboard that I cut by hand and used Distress Stickles on. The rest of the Grungeboard is from the Mini Collection.
The red scalloped paper at the end of the tag is velour paper that I ran through the Big Shot with a Cuttlebug embossing folder. Love how that turned out.
This is a gift tag/Valentine card for by BFF that will be adorning her very late Christmas gift.
Thanks for looking!
