Here's what I've created for today's post:
I love using glitter and the Double Glitter Technique (view my Double Glitter Technique video on the Video Technique page) is one of my "go to" techniques. I wanted to mix it up today. I used a "cheater" glittering technique and teamed it with a bit of Zentangle. Honestly, I wasn't sure how this would turn out and I am really not sure if I like it or not, so leave me a comment and tell my your thoughts of how I could have mixed these two techniques, better.
My supply list is pretty simple Dreamweaver Stencils LJ 823, recently released Crowing Rooster LG753, Art Institute Glitter Opaque Ultrafine Summertree, Transparent Ultrafine Gingerbread, Transparent Ultrafine Crystal and Opaque Ultrafine Leaf from the Pee Wee Tulip Kit. The sentiment is from the Gentle Thoughts collection from Quietfire Designs. Other supplies were Copic Microliner Pen, and Dreamweaver Double Sided Adhesive Paper.
I started by tracing the Crowing Rooster stencil with my black .25 Microliner pen onto white paper and then tracing again on the white side of the Dreamweaver Double Sided Mounting Paper. With the same pen, I Zentangled the Crowing Rooster.
I then started cutting apart the Double Sided Mounting Paper I had traced in the first step. Once I had all of my desired pieces cut out, I removed the protecting backing from the paper and placed it in the matching traced area on the Zentagled image. Once all pieces were in place, I removed the top protective backing and started applying my desired colors of glitter.
Discontinued Dreamweaver Stencil LJ823 was then dry embossed into the card base. You can see the embossed area in the below photo better.
I thought that this quote from Quietfire Designs was fitting to use for a Crowing Rooster . Haha!! I know that my rooster always has PLENTY to say. I need to remember this at 5:30am when he is "singing his song"!! Haha!!

I think this was a very cool combination and technique, Wendy.
Beautiful card, Wendy! Your zentangling in the rooster is something to crow about! Hee hee!
Very nice way to incorporate the Glitter.
Very clever Wendy! You must have a lot of patience to cut out all those pieces! If only there was a matching die cut!
Great card, really like the rooster!
