Each team will be providing the opportunity to win four prize packages of stencil designs, perfect for the holidays. Just leave your comments each day on each players' post as well as the Dream It Up! and Woodware UKblogs, and the Dreamweaver and Woodware Facebook pages. Here's what you could win:

This card was created using new designs from Dreamweaver Stencils July CHA release.

My project today is using Metallic FX, a pigment powder with many uses.

To begin my project, I paste embossed my Heart Ornaments stencil with Matte Black Embossing Paste and set aside to dry.  Once the image was dry (roughly 20 minutes), I placed my clean and dry Heart Ornament stencil on top of the dry paste.  I then layered the Christmas Border stencil over the heart ornaments with removable Scotch tape.  I applied Versamark Watermark Ink on the Christmas Borders stencil, so that the ink was only applied through the Christmas Border design.  With a 1/8 inch stenciling brush, I added Gold Dust Metallic FX to where  Versamark Ink was applied.  I repeated the same process for the second ornament.

Once I was satisfied with the ornament design, I removed the Christmas Borders stencil and added Versamark Watermark Ink to the rest of the Heart Ornament image, while the Heart Ornament stencil was still over the dried paste.   I added a Ivy Garden and Gold Dust Metallic FX to the pine boughs, and the branch.  I then removed my stencil.  To clean up the excess Metallic FX, I used a Glitter Magnet.

To highlight my ornaments on the black background, I used a gold glimmer pen around the edge of the hearts.

There is a pile of fun techniques that can be created using Metallic FX.  Please stay tuned for a video tutorial soon.

Here's what you could win:

Today I chose to use a few of the new designs, Christmas Borders (LJ922) and Season of Joy (LX7016) from the new Holiday Dreamweaver Stencils collection.

I used a fun technique which some of you have seen on my blog time and time again, the Double Glitter Technique.  I also used a small bit of Paste Embossing.

Here it is....

A while back I created a video using the Double Glitter Technique.  You can access the video on You Tube.

This card was really fun to create.  I used multiple colors of Micro Fine Glitter Ritz by Be Creative. The sentiment was also created using the Double Glitter Technique.  One the left side of the car, I paste embossed a portion of the Christmas Borders stencil with Glossy Red Embossing Paste.

You can see that the sentiment on my card is part of the Season of Joy Stencil.  When I was done with my technique, I simply cut off the sentiment and added it in a lower area of the card.

Would you love to see some more FABULOUS Dreamweaver Stencil creations??? Check out all of these fabulous ladies...

Dreamweaver Stencils Christmas in August Challenge

Good morning!  Welcome to Dreamweaver Stencils Christmas in August Challenge.  Through the entire month of August, you can expect to see fabulous Christmas designs each Thursday from myself and the other members of the Dream Team.

Today I used a new and old stencil design, new Color Solutions Alcohol Inks, acetate, Embossing Paste and glitter.  Sounds like a good combination.

One of my favorite ways to use Color Solutions Alcohol Inks is to "smoosh it" or a technique I like to call the Smoosh technique.   Here is a quick step by step:
Using a craft mat, drop desired colors of Color Solutions Alcohol on the mat, place your piece of glossy card stock on top of the ink and swirl around or smoosh the paper into the color.  You effect is different every time.

Alcohol Inks dry very quickly so I was able to get right back to work.  I placed Dreamweaver Stencils New Release Mittens (LJ923) on the alcohol ink background and paste embossed with Transparent Embossing Paste.  While the paste was still wet, I sprinkled Stampendous Multi Crystal Fine Glitter over the wet paste.  Set that aside to dry.

I also paste embossed my Merry Christmas (LL386)  with Pearlescent Embossing Paste on Acetate. Set aside to dry.

Once the Mittens and the sentiment were dry, using Glue Dots, I adhered the acetate piece to the mittens piece.

Stampendous August Focus On Sentiment Challenge

Good morning!!
Stampendous and I are so excited about our August Challenge.  Stampendous has HUNDREDS of fabulous sentiments that are perfect for card making.  You don't have to look far to find the perfect sentiment for any occasion!!

I recently had the opportunity to make a Baby Card for a friend and Stampendous has the perfect stamp.

The Cling New Born Baby stamp is made with such a darling font and I love it paired with the Cling Baby Buggy stamp!!

The card was stamped with the focal image on the card panel and the sentiment was stamped on a smaller layer with a decorative die cut behind it.  The sentiment and image was stamped with the most fabulous ink on the planet, Tsukineko's Versafine Vintage Sepia.

Supplies:
Stamps: Cling New Born Baby, Cling Baby Buggy (Stampendous)
Paper: Robin's Egg Card Shoppe (Bazzill Basics Paper)
Ink: Versafine Vintage Sepia (Tsukineko)
Die Cuts: Lacey Squares (Spellbinders)

What would a challenge be without amazing Stampendous prizes.  This month THREE of the July 2012 New Release stamps will be given away!!

All you have to do is play along and link your creation to the Mr. Linky tool at the bottom of this post or on the Stampendous Impressions Blog.

Here's a chance to dig out that sentiment stamp you just had to have but haven't used yet. BONUS if your project uses Stampendous products your entry counts twice!!

Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Friday Digi Challenge!! It is "Beary" Fun!!!

Welcome to Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Digi Friday Challenge!!

This week we are asking you to link us up to your Teddy Bear creations!!
Our only request is that you use a digital image on your project!!!

I chose a darling Rhubarb image from Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps,  Rhubarb Scarecrow Digi.

I teamed this darling fall image up with Bear Sentiment Digital Set.

I am particularly fond of my card today, because I use my neglected set of Spectrum Noir markers on him.  Not to bad for a first timer.  I have been using Copic Sketch Markers for a few years now, but Crafter's Companion was kind enough to send me a huge set of their pens for teaching purposes.  I decided it was fine time to learn how to use them and start teaching with them.

We would love to see your Teddy Bear creations this week.  Link up your creation at the Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Digi Challenge blog!!!  I can't wait to see what you create!!

Do you need a bit of inspiration??  Check out my fellow SNSS Design Team.  These gals are sure to get your creativity flowing!!

Dreamweaver Stencils Christmas in August Challlenge!!

Welcome to Dreamweaver Stencils Christmas in August Challenge!!

Dreamweaver Stencils released NEW DESIGNS at CHA in Chicago last month and there are some fabulous Christmas stencils.

Today I made, in my opinion, an awesome card.  I love the simplicity of the sentiment and the image and there isn't to much muss or fuss.  This card is simple, just as it should be.

The card panel is 5 x 7, to give you an idea if the size of the Peace On Earth stencil.  The dimensions of this stencil are 4.5 x 6.25.
The stencil was placed on the card panel and paste embossed with Dreamweaver Glossy Black embossing paste, set aside to dry and adhered to the card layers.

I hope this inspired you to give Paste Embossing a try. The new release stencils  are available at you're local store or on Stencil with Style.

Here are the supplies that I used for my card:
