Dreamweavers Stencils Dream Team Dream Scheme Thursday!!

Good morning Bloggers!! Can you say the title to this post five times fast?? Hehe. I had to keep it. I think it is too funny!!

Every Thursday, the Dream Team posts their fabulous work. This week is an "express yourself" week. Basically it means we can work with anything we want. No theme.

Since the middle of December, I have been working on Valentine's Day cards. I was really happy to get away from all the pink and red, when I chose more regal colors of gold and dark brown.
Both of the stencils that I used here I have had for some time and not used. I love the beautiful Heart Lock (LG672) stencil and knew exactly what I wanted to use it for, but I had to reposition the key and I had to do a few experiments. The other stencil is a border stencil, Eyelet Border (LM 175). All stencils were simply pasted with Gold Embossing Paste, directly on the cardstock. The key was paste embossed on a separate sheet of paper and after it dried, cut out. I stamped the sentiment on the cardstock after the paste was dry and wrapped a ribbon around it....Tah Dah!!!

Thank so much for taking a peek at the weeks Dream Scheme!!! I hope to see you back next week!! Check out the Dream It Up blog for this week's challenge information and links to the other members of the Dream Team!! You can see what they are up to this week.

I hope you all have a day full of blessings!!!

Dreamweaver Blue & Purple Dream Scheme Color Challenge

Yeah!!!! Thursdays here! It's a great day of the week to fall upon my blog! Every Thursday, Dreamweaver Stencils Dream Team reveals a bit of inspiration on each of their blogs. Each week, Lynell, owner & designer of our wonderful stencils, challenges us to create something spectacular. This week she asked for Blue and Purple, and I had just the thing for her....

I knew right away that I was going to use the Petals Background (LJ899) stencil with the Double Glitter Technique and Lapis & Amethyst glitter!!! I then pasted my Happy Birthday (LM239) with Glossy Blue Embossing Paste (beautiful!! Photo doesn't do it justice! Must try for yourself!). Next, I took a scrap piece of blue paper and using Glossy White Embossing Paste, stenciled Curliques (LJ855). Once I got all the components piled on, I wrapped the sentiment with a shimmery seam binding, added some jewels, and called it BEAUTIFUL!!!! This card was based on the sketch by Julee Tilman at Mojo Monday.

Following with Lynell's blue theme, I put together a simple, yet elegant card using the Merry Christmas (LL386) stencil. Once again I simply paste embossed the sentiment using Glossy Blue Embossing Paste. I followed that with some scoring and placement of gems & a bow....TAAA DAAAA!!

Here are the deets....make a project using Dreamweaver Stencils, go to Dream It Up and link your project to Mr. Linky. Please link to your blog or an online album. We appreciate if you can link directly to your project then we can come by and leave you some love on your wonderful creations!!!

Please visit the other Dream Team members and see what they are up to today...

Thanks for visiting!! Have a GREAT day!!!!

Cardabilities Sketch Reveal #17

Good morning Friends......OK, are you all ready for Christmas? 10 days away? Yikes that is crazy. Back in September, when I started to leisurely make Christmas cards, I was so jovially thinking "I have all the time in the world"! WRONG! Here it is, the Christmas cards are done, but anything else? No. Not done. I haven't mailed the cards, I haven't bought very many gifts, I haven't planned my Christmas dinner, I haven't washed the sheets in the guests beds....You know what I am talking about....I don't think I am alone here.

What I did do though, was make a card for Cardabilities sketch challenge 17. Here is the wonderful sketch......

Here is what I did with it.....

I can't believe that I am saying this out loud, but quite possibly my favorite Holiday stamps are Just Rite Stamps or quite possible Verve Stamps. It's a toss up this year. This cards cute little snowman is from Just Rite Stamps and the perfect Merry Christmas sentiment is from Verve.

Here are the rest of goodies in this card:

Card Stock: Close To My Heart
Patterned Paper: Eskimo Kisses (Basic Grey)
Ink: Bravo Burgundy (Stampin' Up); Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko)
Dies: Classic Circle (Spellbinders); other die (Marianne Designs)
Border Sticker: Martha Stewart

Every week Cardabilities has a great sponsor with an awesome prize. Won't you play along for you chance to win!!!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope to see you tomorrow for a fun color challenge by Dreamweaver Stencils!!

Have a blessed day!!!

It's Dream Scheme Thursday!!!!

Good morning Friends!! I hope you are ready for your Thursday to get off to a "Dreamy" start!!!

Today Dreamweavers Stencils Dream Team will be posting some eye candy for your viewing pleasure!!!

Be sure to run by Dream It Up, Lynell Harlow's Dreamweaver blog. She will be running a challenge, with a stencil prize for the winner!!!!

Today I pulled out a 4x6 kraft card and went to work! I used the GORGEOUS Holly Flourish (LG731) stencil again and a new to me, older stencil, Long Merry Christmas (LL557). I used the Double Glitter Technique with the Long Merry Christmas stencil and regular embossing paste on the Holly Leaf Flourish. One the Holly Leaf Flourish was dry, I placed my stencil back over the image and misted it with Memory Mist Iridescent. I framed the sentiment with Fancy Tags from Spellbinders and I used dimensional stickers and placed the Long Merry Christmas right on top!!!

Today I have a small treat from the Future.....the Toile Heart (LL3010) stencil!!! This is a brand new stencil the Dreamweaver will be releasing at CHA!!! It is a beauty and a must have for any crafting collection!!!! The background was machine embossed with the Spellbinders Wizard and craft metal. The stencil I used was another new to me, Petal Background (LJ899). First I used copper and rust alcohol inks on the metal sheet. Once dry, I ran the metal with the stencil thought the machine. It is beautiful in person!!! It matched my "rusty" Toile Heart so well!! I pasted embossed the Toile Heart with Translucent Embossing paste and while still wet and the stencil still attached, I covered the image in Rusty glitter! It is such a beautiful color! Once that was dry, I sprayed Shimmering Copper Memory Mist all over the image! I didn't' stop there either! I even sprayed down my white May Arts sparkly ribbon. Its now copper! hehe....

I hope you enjoyed your visit!! Check out what the other Dream Team members are up to today...

Thanks so much for taking a peek today!! I hope you all have a whole day FULL of blessings!!!
