Skipping Stones Design Challenge #136 and a NEW RELEASE!!!

Good morning!!  Welcome to Skipping Stones Designs Inspiration Challenge and the release of Darling Damask.

This is a beautiful set.  I could see this set making elegant greetings, even wedding invitations.

I made a very quick card this week.  I made my own version of Washi Tape with paper medical tape.  I simply stamped in London Fog ink right on the paper tape.  Ha!  Easy.

Stampendous Envirotex "Stick" together!!!

Welcome to a fun collaboration between Stampendous! and Envirotex Jewelry Resin!!

All week long, the Stampendous!  team will be blog hopping along  showcasing the fabulous creations made with stamps and jewelry resin.

I was amazed at how easy and fun using resin can be.   I watched videos prior to starting my resin project and all of the advice was to prepare your project before mixing the resin.  Here are the products I had ready before I mixed my resin.

• Steel Blue Glass Glitter
• Envirotex Resin
• Shrinky Dinks
• Tsukineko Stazon Ink

Here is a quick how to, on how I achieved my pendent.  

Stamp Stampendous Cling Pensive Portrait (CRF217) on frosted Shrinky Dinks and heat until the image is as small as it can be.  

I placed the shrunk image into the bezel and added resin with the provided wooden stick.  The resin was a lot runnier than I thought it would be and was easy to apply resin where needed.

Once I had my resin the proper area's, I sprinkled bits of Stampendous Champagne and Steel Blue Glass Glitter over the resin.

I am in love with the stamped portrait on Shrinky Dinks and can't wait to play with this some more!!

Dreamweaver Stencils July Summer Challenge

Dreamweaver Stencils is hosting a Summer themed challenge this month.  All of our creations are going to be "summery".

Today I want to share a care I made for the May Dreamweaver Stencils release.

I used a fun technique called Ink Transfer.




















I used the Stylized Dahlia (LG743) for the Ink Transfer technique and the Art Nouveau Background (LX7015) was air brushed with Copic Sketch Markers.

Start your Ink Transfer Technique with glossy card stock, stencil of your choice and Memory Mist Spray Inks.  Use a three sided box to spray your stencils in, to protect your other projects and desk.

I lay three to four paper towels in the bottom of my three sided box and lay the stencil upside down.  Spray the ink onto the stencil from 12-16 inches above the stencil.  Once your stencil is inked as you desire, carefully pick up your stencil and place it on a clean, dry paper towel, inky side up.

Lay your glossy cardstock, glossy side down onto the inked stencil.  Apply minimal pressure with your fingers to "transfer" the ink onto the paper.  Carefully remove paper from the stencil, set aside and allow the ink to dry.

Walllah!!!

 I am starting to think that this may be my most favorite stenciling technique.  Not only is it easy to achieve gorgeousness, the effects are different every time.

Skipping Stones Designs meet Ribbon Carousel with our July Inspiration Challenge!!

Stampendous Color Inspiration Challenge!!

Welcome to July!!
The Stampendous! Team is challenging you to a Citrus Color Inspiration Challenge.
Here is your Inspiration photo....




Yummy huh!!  I can feel it getting cooler already. Haha

Today I wanted to share some images that were releases in April.   I love this Stampendous Cling Bathing Beauty (CRP159) and Stampendous Cling Country Manor (CRY024).

I was able to use plenty of Stampendous's fun Essentials and the card was easy to achieve.
First, stamp the focal image on glossy card stock.  Set aside to dry or apply heat with a heat tool.  Once your brown or black ink is dry, apply a die based ink color with a Q-Tip to desired areas.   I added color to her "bathing suit" and her skin and a bit of color around her.
To create the cast shadow, I added Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze around her.

Once all the inks are dry, apply Zig Glue to desired areas and sprinkle Stampendous Shaved Ice and Stampendous Multi Medium Glitter, around image.

Stamp background stamp on desired paper.  I applied Stampendous Color Fragments, Sage Green and Rose to the base of the Country Manor stamp.

Add some die ink to the Woven Burlap and spritz it with water to spread the ink out.

Layer your card panels together and you're done.

Stampendous Meets Clear Scraps Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Blog Collaboration of Stampendous and Clear Scraps!!  All week long the two Design Teams have crafted their hearts out to show how fabulous these two product lines work together.

On Wednesday, I had so much fun creating a card from the Clear Scraps Send It Clear Cards.  You can check out my post HERE.

Today I am sharing a Clear Scraps Sassy 8 x 8 album.  First of all,  Clear Scraps products are COMPLETELY clear (just as the name says).  Everything is protected with a thin film that peels off before use.  Clear Scraps albums and cards take all sorts coloring mediums well, as you will soon see below.  

My completed album.  I stamped the Stampendous Cling Jumbo Songird onto the cover of the Clear Scraps album with Tsukineko's Black Stazon.  I let that dry a bit, layered Tsukineko's Glazon over the Stazon.

Once the Glazon was dry, that allowed color to be added to the image.  In this case, I used Copic Sketch Markers.

For my next page, color was added with the Copic Air Brush System to cover the entire clear page.  Alcohol ink is transparent, so it just added some color to "liven" up the page but still be transparent.

On the same clear page,  the Stampendous Cling Jumbo Tulip was stamped with Tsukineko Metallic Platinum Stazon.  I wanted to add color to the Cling Jumbo Tulip.  On the back side of the transparent page, I spritzed Tsukineko's Goosebumps and spread it to the desired area's with a paint brush.  I then sprinkled Stampendous Color Fragments where I wanted.  Once the Goosebumps dried, my Color Fragments stayed in place.  I am in love with the soft pastel colors of Stampendous Chiffon, Sage and Powder Blue Color Fragments.

On the last page of the album, I had some fun with a few different Tsukineko's inks, Cotton White Stazon, Black Stazon and Versamark Watermark Ink.    I stamped the Stampendous Cling Jumbo Dogwood with Black Stazon and the accent image included with the Dogwood set with Cotton White Stazon.  The beautiful flourish from the Cling Jumbo Tulip set was stamped with Versamark Embossing Ink and heat embossed with Stampendous Detail Copper Embossing Powder.

In the back of the clear page, I used Stampendous Boss Gloss in the handy bottle dauber, to place embossing ink in precise areas.  I applied embossing ink to the petals and sprinkled Vintage Lilac Embossing Tinsel and Shabby Pink Embossing Enamel to the desired areas.

Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Friday Digi Challenge

Welcome to Sweet 'N Sassy Stamps Friday Digi Challenge!
This week we are bringing the Stars & Stripes to you in the form of a Friday Digi Challenge!!

I colored this sweet little cutie, Patriotic Cocoa Digital Stamp and I added some red bling to the stripes of the flag.  The background was created by a hand drawn star that I cut out, used as a mask and inked around the edges with Fired Brick and Stormy Sky Distress Ink.

Dreamweaver Stencils and Art Institute Glitter Blog Collaberation!!

I gathered all of my supplies

Using my Glitter Scoop, I added just bits of certain colors of glitter where I wanted.  I love the Doodlebug Glitter Scoop, because of the great precision  you get.

Season's Greetings in July!!  With untraditional colors.  Ha!!

Last week I created a video using the Double Glitter Technique.  I am a visual learner, so I hope the video will make it easier for you to understand this easy technique.

Double Glitter Step by Step Instructions

1) Apply soap to the back of your stencil. The stencil is going to be placed on Double Sided Mounting Paper and the soap will prevent the stencil from sticking to the paper. Apply a generous amount of soap.  I like to add just a bit more when I think I have applied enough.

2) Place stencil, soap side onto the Double Sided Mounting Paper.  Save the protective backing from the paper, to press onto the top of your stencil to ensure that is properly adhered.

3) Apply glitter in desired areas, with desired colors.  Again, use the backing from the Double Sided Mounting Paper to press onto the top of the glitter and stencil to adhere as much glitter as you can.  Use a Glitter Magnet or Swiffer Duster to pick up excess bits of glitter from your project.  This is an important step.  The tiny bits of glitter will sit on top of the project or pile into the small crevices of the stencil, when the stencil is removed, the bits of glitter will fly to undesired area’s on the exposed Double Sided Mounting Paper.

4) Remove stencil from Double Sided Mounting Paper and sprinkle a white or transparent glitter on the rest of the exposed, adhesive area of the paper.

Stampendous & Clear Scraps Collaberation Week

Have you  been loving all the fabulous inspiration this week from the Clear Scraps Design Team and the Stampendous Team??  Tsukineko was also kind enough to donate Stazon products to this cause also!!  Thanks so much Tsukineko!!!

I am so thrilled to be apart of this amazing collaboration.  I love seeing what other teams can do with Stampendous products.

I chose the Send It Clear Heart card.  In the package is three pieces of the card, four clear adhesive stickers to hold everything together and a super cool clear envelope for mailing your project.

I started my project with the front interlocking clear panels.  All of the Clear Scraps panels have a plastic, frosty coating that must be removed before you start.

I stamped the front panels of the my card with Stampendous Vintage Frames Perfectly Clear Stamp Set and Tsukineko Platinum Metallic Stazon.  The lavender background papers were stamped (it is hard to see in this photo) with the music score from the  Stampendous Vintage Piano Perfectly Clear Stamp Set and Opaque Cotton White Stazon.  I added a bit of Dusty Concord to the background as well.

Rhinestone flourishes and flowers finished off the front card panel.

I wanted to make the back panel of the card a bit frosty, so I stamped Tsukineko Opaque Lilac Stazon to cover the area.  The image and flourishes are stamps from the versital Stampendous Vintage Piano Perfectly Clear Stamp Set and the sentiment is from Stampendous Sincere Sentiments.

Stampendous Summer Challenge!!

This month Stampendous is hosting a Summer Challenge. 

Create as many cards as you can using a Summer Theme and this leaves the possibilities endless.  Summer Weddings, Summer Birthday’s, the list goes on and on.

I am excited to attend a few weddings this summer for family and friends.  I chose two stamps that compliment each other beautifully,  Cling Dream Forever, CRV219 and Cling Jumbo Romantic Border, CRS5021.

This card was easily achieved with beautiful Stampendous stamps and Stampendous Detail Silver Embossing Powder.
