Stampendous11

The dimensions of this card are 3 x 6, with the score line being at the top.

Here are a few easy instructions using the Stampendous Sticker Background tutorial.

Stamp your focal image and color with preferred medium. Cut a double sided adhesive sheet to the desired size of your background and place Class A Peel’s where you would like them. Once all of the sticker are in place , sprinkle Stampendous Translucent Ultra Fine Crystal Snow glitter on the double sided adhesive sheet and spread with your finger to cover the rest of the sticky areas. Once all areas are covered, rub a glitter magnet over the background to pick up any loose pieces of glitter. Adhere the stamped focal image to the background with dimensionals. Place Class A Peel sentiment where desired.

Soooo….You guessed it. Leave a comment here to win the Cling Penguin Wishes Set

Dreamweaver Stencils Dream Scheme Thursday!!! ~Free Theme Week~

Good morning!!

Welcome to Dreamweaver Dream Scheme Thursday!!

This week I messed with Dreamweaver’s New Released Stencils, aluminum, paste and Metallic FX.

I started by embossing the aluminum with two NEW stencils that will be available for shipping in mid-August.  I embossed the aluminum using a paper stump. Once I had the desired look, I used a MercArt USA Decorative Wheel around the edge and then sanded off the embossed area of the aluminum.

Dreamweaver72811

The Rooster Stencil (LG727) was paste embossed with Pearlescent Embossing Paste and sprinkled with multiple shades of Metallic FX (Eye of the Tiger, Amber Glow and Goldfinch).  Then set aside to dry and I cut the image out and adhered it to the aluminum with dimensionals.

Please stop by the other members of the Dream Team’s blog today.  You can find all the links to their blog to the right of this post.

Have a great day!

Color Inspiration Challenges

To create this card I used Stampendous Tweet Friends

and Stampendous Geo Bubbles

This card was easy peasy to make…some paper cutting, some stamping, some coloring…put it all together. I loved how fun it turned out and I will be giving this little cutie to my friend Mandy!!

Supplies:

Paper: Petty Cash Bling, Candlelight, Mango and Caribbean Breeze (Bazzill Basics Paper)

Stamps: Tweet Friend Perfectly Clear SetSSC2010, Geo Bubbles CRR116 (Stampendous)

Ink: Memento (Tsukineko); Spica Sky Blue, Y11, Y15, Y18, YR00, YR02, YR04, BG000, BG05, B000, B01, B02, G12, G14, G17, 00 Sketch (Copic Markers)

Die: Marianne Creatables, Spellbinders

Extras: Hemp String (CTMH), Flowers (Wild Orchid, Recollections), border punch (MS Crafts), Detail White Embossing Powder (Stampendous), Rhinestones (craft supply)

Stampendous-Saturday-72311

For this card I used the super cool Stampendous Cling Jumbo Water Lily set

Really everyone…this card was also sooo easy. I colored the background with Copic Markers and an exaggerated feathering technique. Once I had the desired color, I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder. The Water Lily was stamped twice, cut out and one of the Lilies colored with Copic Markers and using a more controlled feathering technique. Once I had finished coloring, I rolled the edges of the flower petals with a pencil to give some dimension. I adhered the two flowers together with dimensionals and applied it to the colored back ground card base.

Supplies:

Paper: Bazzill Basics Paper

Stamps: Cling Jumbo Water Lily (Stampendous)

Ink: Tuxedo Memento Black, Versamark (Tsukineko); YR00, YR02, YR04, Y11, Y15, Y18, BG000, B02 Sketch, Spica Gold(Copic Markers)

Extras: Gold Tinsel Embossing Powder (Stampendous)

Here is the complete set…

Here is another quickie project that I made using this set…

Stampendous!CandleJar

This simple candle was decorated with Alcohol Inked sticky glitter sheets. After I applied alcohol ink, I then stamped on the glitter paper with Stazon. I applied some Stampendous Class A Peels to acetate and applied them to the outside. All done, that simple.

Ok…so here’s the deal. Leave me a comment and tell me which of the three stamps you like best. If your number is drawn, you get that Stampendous Stamp set. DON’T FORGET….YOU HAVE TO TELL ME WHICH STAMP SET YOU LIKE BEST OR I WILL DRAW ANOTHER COMMENTOR!!!

Please take the time to check out my Stampendous Design Team sister’s Cyndi Bundy, Taylor Usry and Wendy Price. The are ALL giving away Stampendous stamps today also!!

A simple, CASual Friday…

Good morning!!  I know, I know….It’s a Sunday and your seeing a post from me….It”s weird!

I missed being at CHA so much this Summer, I was soaking all of the new fun products and keeping up with all my friends that attended on Facebook and Twitter.

I was hitting all my favorite blogs and catching up on some challenges that I haven’t been able to play along with for some time.

CASFriday72211

Today I chose to make a simple card for the CASual Friday Challenge.  The challenge was to use a sticker or rub-on in the design.

I chose to use stickers.  I colored the background using an exaggerated feathering technique with Copic Markers (YR04, Y17).  I used Elizabeth Crafts Designs Big Butterflies Peel-Off Stickers.  If you haven’t used these before, they are kind of like two stickers in one.  There is an outline and the middle.  I placed the outline of the butterfly on watercolor paper and colored with Tombow’s and a blender pen.  I then colored over the top with a Copic Spica Red Glitter pen. I then cut it out.  Using an Elizabeth Crafts Transfer Sheet, I transferred the “middle” of the butterfly to the background card stock.  Using glue dots, I adhered the colored butterfly to the card base off center of the “shadow”.  I then stamped the sentiment from my favorite Thank You set, Stampendous Agapanthus Thank You Perfectly Clear Set.

Supplies:

Paper:  Stampin’ Up, Bazzill Basics

Stamps: Agapanthus Thank You (Stampendous)

Stickers: Big Butterflies (ELizabeth Crafts Design)

Ink: Versafine Black Onyx (Tsukineko); YR04, Y17 Sketch, Spica Red Glitter Pen (Copic Marker); Tombow

Thank so much for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great rest of your weekend!!

I Love Hearing from You!!!

Good morning!!

This morning I have been putzing around in my craft room and realized that I had time to follow along with a couple of challenges!!

I love it when the Play Date Café has “splash” challenges.  I love it, but I don’t always have the chance to play along.  Here is the inspiration the Play Date Café provided…

I also used  a sketch from Clean & Simple Stamping

Here is my result…

PDC91

I love cards that take less than 10 minutes to put together.

The steps of this card are pretty self-explanatory.

I started by cutting my cardstock to the desired size and stamped in the desired areas.

Here are the supplies that I used:

Stamps: Wavy Music CRN070, Hearing From You CRL238 (Stampendous)

Card Stock: CTMH, Georgia Pacific, Bazzill Paper Co.

Ink: Turquoise Gem VersaMagic Chalk Ink (Tsukineko)

Ribbon: May Arts

Hopefully  you can find time to play along.  Both of these challenges were completed in MINUTES.

Please check back tomorrow to see if you’re the winner of my Stampendous Blog Candy from last week and to comment to win this week’s Stampendous Blog Candy!!!

You can see last week’s Stampendous post by clicking here!

Have a great FRIDAY!!!

I HAVE STAMPENDOUS BLOG CANDY!!!

CLICK HERE FOR MY *DREAMWEAVER STENCILS* POST!!

If your looking for my Skipping Stones Design post....HERE YOU GO!!

Please leave a comment below to win a fab set from Stampendous!!

Good morning!!

Today is going to be a good day!!! Not only is it summer time, but I am giving away some fabulous Stampendous goodness.

I have made two projects with the new Cling Jumbo Holly Stocking set. This set has been available to retailers for a few weeks, so you may find it at your LSS. Good news for those that can’t find it because you can win it here!! It is as simple as leaving a comment on my blog and “liking” Stampendous on Facebook. A quick comment on Facebook about how much you love Stampendous and telling them that I sent you wouldn’t hurt, but that is just optional. On to my projects…

Stampendous-May-Arts-2

This card was a lot of fun to make. I used some Fran*tage techniques, and it was rather easy. Here are a few steps..

1) Cut your card base to desired size. Cut patterned paper to desired size for background. 2) Make a solution of water and instant coffee (the more coffee in the solution, the darker it will be) in a spritz bottle. Sprinkle dry instant coffee granules on background paper and spritz paper with instant coffee mixture (you can see the achieved look of this technique in the upper right hand corner). Set aside to dry or dry with a heat tool. 3) Using Boss Gloss, rub embossing ink on the edge of your background paper, sprinkle detail gold embossing powder over ink and heat. Distress edges of the background paper. 4) Stamp focal image with embossing ink and heat emboss detail gold embossing powder. Cut image out. 5) Stamp sentiment and heat emboss with Red Tinsel Embossing powder. Assemble card as desired.

Supplies:

Stamps: Christmas Greetings CRG119, Cling Jumbo Holly Stocking CRS5015 (Stampendous)

Ink: Boss Gloss Stampendous). Versamark (Tsukineko)

Paper: French Script Kraft (Canvas Corp), Killarney, Kisses (Bazzill Basics)

Ribbon: Satin Ribbon (May Arts), hemp string (Creative Impressions)

Embossing Powder: Red Tinsel, Detail Gold (Stampendous)

I have one more project to share using the awesome Stampendous Cling Jumbo Holly Stocking…

Stampendous71611

This card’s measurements are a tad bigger 5.25 x 5.25. This is another example of how easy it is to make cards with Stampendous’ new line of Cling Jumbo stamps. I threw this card together in minutes. Here are some easy steps…

1) Cut your desired size card base. 2) Stamp Holly Leaves on cardstock and color with your desired medium. Cut out. 3) Stamp sentiment with embossing ink and heat embossing powder. Cut out your sentiment panel to desired size and ink edges for a “not-so” crisp look. Adhere to your desired background paper and adhere your holly leaves. 4) Attach ribbon and lastly, apply a few bits of Liquid Pearls.

Supplies:

Stamps: Cling Jumbo Holly Stocking CRS5015, Seasons Greeting CRQ155 (Stampendous)

Ink: Versamark, Memento Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko), Copic Markers (YG17, G14, G17, R29)

Paper: Mohawk White (Kelly Paper Co.), Killarny, Phoenix DS (Bazzill Basics)

Ribbon: May Arts

Extras: Chinese Red Embossing Powder (Stampendous), Rhinestones (craft supply), Liquid Pearls (Ranger)

Now for what you will win. Commenting starts now and will continue until July 21st at midnight. I will announce the winner of the Cling Jumbo Holly Stocking set on Saturday July 23rd at the same time that I kick off my next Stampendous Blog Candy Saturday.

Because this set is not available until next week to the world, I don’t have an image to show the complete set, but what it includes is the stocking from the first card and the holly leaves from the second.

Remember to win….all you have to do is leave a comment here on my blog and run over to Facebook and “like” the Stampendous page and leave a comment there and tell them that I sent you (this is optional, but would be appreciated).

To let you know, Taylor Usry and Cyndi Bundy are giving away Stampendous Blog Candy today also. You are going to get a fabulous tutorial from Taylor and Cyndi is having a challenge also.

Dream Scheme Thursday Colorway Challenge

Good morning!!

This morning, the Dreamweaver Stencil Design Team and I are bringing you beautiful monochromatic creations using Dreamweaver Stencils.

I chose one of Dreamweaver Stencils new release images from Summer CHA.

Dreamweaver-Cameo-Monochrom

I love the simplicity of the card.  The look is very easy to achieve.

First I embossed black aluminum with the Cameo stencil in a die cutting machine.  The machine gives the image such a crisp look.  I then sanded the color away from the embossed area.  I then cut the image out.

I die cut the Italian Lace Flourish Doily out in chrome paper and adhered the cameo to the center.  I applied some Glitter Dots and called it “pretty”.

Supplies:

Stencil: Cameo (Dreamweaver Stencils)

Die Cut: Italian Lace Flourish (Cheery Lynn Designs)

Paper: cardstock(Coordinations), Chrome paper (The Paper Company)

Metal: Black Aluminum (MercArt USA)

Extras: Glitter Dots (Stampendous), sanding block (Tim Holtz)

Thank  you so much for taking the time today to stop by.  Please play along with our color challenge and upload your creations to Dream It Up, Lynell Harlow’s blog.

Have a great day!

Dreamweaver Sketch Challenge Week!!!

Good morning!!  The Dreamweaver Design team is still eagerly anticipating the arrival of CHA so we can start sharing the new Dreamweaver Stencil Designs.  I can tell you, it will be worth the wait.  Only one more week my friends!!

For todays sketch, I chose Tall Wheat, LL3008 that has been sitting on my desk for some time and I have NEVER used.  Here in Montana, many gals have chose to use wheat stalks to decorate their home and make home décor.  This stencil has actually been a really good seller for me in my sales territory.

Dreamweaver-Sketch-71411

I chose to use the Faux Cloisonné technique.  Here are some simple instructions for you to follow so you can try.

1.  Tape stencil to your paper to ensure that the stencil will not shift while coloring your image.  Color your image with the desired coloring medium.  I chose Versa magic Chalk Inks and Brilliance Pigment inks both by Tsukineko. I applied color using stenciling brushes.  2.  Once you have completed your desired coloring, using a jumbo dauber, apply embossing ink over the colored image.  Remove the stencil and apply Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel.  I used Deep Impressions by Stampendous.  3. Heat enamel until melted.  While the original enamel is still hot, apply another coat, shake off excess and heat the enamel.  4.  The end result should be a smooth colored surface.  You can continue to layer your UTEE until the surface is smooth.  More layers will not damage your project. 5.  Stamp sentiment and tie ribbon and embellishments on.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics

Stencils: Tall Wheat (Dreamweaver Stencils)

Ink: Spanish Olives, Tea Leaves Versa Magic Chalk Ink; Galaxy Gold, Pearlescent Beige Brilliance Inks (Tsukineko)

Stamps: Verve

Ribbon: Christopher Pines Etsy Shop

Extras: Pearls (CTMH); Hat Pins (Dreamweaver & Maya Road), Deep Impressions (Stampendous)

Border Punch: Martha Stewart

Here is our sketch…

Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Please play along with our sketch challenge and link up  your creation to the Dream It Up blog.

We can’t wait to see your creations.

Be sure to see how the other Design Team members interpreted the sketch today.  Leave them some  love!!  The deserve it!!!

Dreamweaver Stencil Dream Scheme Thursday!!

Good morning!! Once again, Lynell Harlow, has provided the Dreamweaver Dream Team with FABULOUS new stencils which will be making their way to CHA in a few short weeks!! We have to keep these fabulous designs under wraps right now, but I have been busy designing some fabulous new creations, which puts me in the situation I was this morning. Busy, busy creating new samples and didn’t make a card for today’s post, BUT never fear. A few weeks ago, Lynell Harlow (Dream It Up) had posted a wonderful card made be the Elaine Benedict and it inspired me to make this card...

A bit different, but along the same lines as Elaine’s. I will be teaching three classes this month making this class in Montana. Fly over, join me!!!

To make the background I simply took black and turquoise colored aluminum and ran them through the Vagabond with LG709, Serendipity Flower and LJ808, Cathedral Windows stencils.

One the aluminum was embossed, I removed the stencil and sanded away the embossed color. The Serendipity Flower stencil was then cut out.

I used Silver Metallic Embossing Paste to paste the sentiment on black velvet paper.

I love this card, because it is simply elegant!

Thanks for taking a look today and I hope you have time to stop by the other members of the Dream Team’s blogs. There is a list to the right of this post.

Have a super day!!
