Dreamweaver Stencils CAS March Challenge!!

Good morning and welcome to Dreamweaver's Dream Scheme Thursday!!

Our team is so excited to bring you the Clean and Simple March Challenge!!

We ask you to play along for your change to win a few FABBULOUS stencils from Dreamweaver Stencils!!

Here is a stenciled card that I made for the January 2012 Release!

DW-Rainbow-Thank-You

I used the Double Glitter Technique for this card.  If your interested in the Double Glitter Technique in PDF version, please ask in the comments and leave your email address.

The stencils I used were released at Winter CHA.

LX7011 Big Dots

LS1009 thank you

Cover the backside of your stencil with Hawaiian Coconut Soap.  I make sure that there is a good coating of soap on the stencil. If there isn’t enough soap on the back of the stencil, your stencil will stick to the Double Sided Mounting Paper.  Once a good amount of soap has been placed on stencil, remove one side of the protective backing from the Double Sided Mounting Paper and adhere stencil to sticky side.

At this time, I like to take the backing from the Double Sided Mounting Paper and put the waxy side down and burnish the stencil onto the sticky paper.  With this accomplished, glitter will not get underneath the stencil and make your image blurry.

Your ready to start layering your glitter.  This certain project used six colors of glitter, plus a black and a transparent.

Once all of your glitter is in place, I shake off excess and also go over the entire project with a Glitter Magnet, which is similar to a tacky cloth.  It is important to to get the excess glitter off, when you peel your stencil away from the sticky paper, the glitter that isn’t adhered, will fly in the areas of the sticky paper that won’t give you a crisp image.

Remove your stencil from your Double Sided Mounting Paper, and sprinkle your white or transparent glitter over the rest of the open/sticky area.  Repeat process for sentiment.

Supplies:

Stencils: Big Dots, thank you (Dreamweaver Stencils)

Paper: Blackberry (Bazzill Paper Co.); Double Sided Mounting Paper (Dreamweaver Stencils)

Glitter: Black, Liberty Blue, Light Copper, Fire Red, Orange, Sea Green, Lilac, Yellow (Glitter Ritz); Multi Crystal Transparent (Stampendous)

Now you have the opportunity to play along. Create your own Clean and Simple design (preferably with Dreamweaver Stencils' products) and link it to the Dream It Up! blog from your own blog, online gallery, or just sent us an email (lynell@dreamweaverstencils.com) of your creation for us to show off on the blog. At the end of March, we will select two winners to win a set of these stencils each:
